This is all a storm in a teacup, Kamiya knows that if he partners with the Sh*tStation4 he will only get a kickstarter campaign. LOL
People keep asking why Kamiya chose to work with Microsoft and not Sony when the answer is simple, Microsoft has money and can afford to pay him, Sony cannot.
Kamiya should really keep his mouth shut, collect his paycheck and go home, it's Microsoft's IP and they could do whatever they want.
Nope, Minecraft goes beyond the Xbox One, MS didn't buy it solely to benefit the XB1 and give people an incentive to buy an XB1 over a PS4, they bought it because it's still easily one of the top 5 most played games in the world, have a huge presence in gaming in terms of marketing and merchandise, and would generate a ridiculous cash flow if it remained on as many platforms as possible, including Sony's. Don't ever expect to see Minecraft anything on XB1/PC only.
Good, now let's see more new ips, and less Halo, Gears, Fable, and Forza. I'm happy to see Recore and Sea of Pirates, but I want more new ips. Also, scalebound isn't 1st party is it?
Second part, they own the IP but being made by a 3rd party studio, Now that I think about it Platinum doesn't own any IP's
