@Snaptrap well for ur phone point that only applies to iphone ...look at other manufacturers ... every year ...there is new kind of processors which is much more faster with better GPUs ...and in 4 years they went from wvga screens --->qHD ---> HD ---> full HD ...and as for rams they are up to 2 GB of DDR3 in matter of couple of years ... and every year there is even faster flash memories introduced ..... so i guess u only notice software features ...!

@GamespotAudio @Xammblu @dark_rising76 go to xda-developer ...find the kindle fire section in their forum ... download one of the custom ROMs and install it :D u will find anything u need there ..... just hope that there is a why to hide ur tracks if u want to revert back to stock in case u needed to use ur warranty!

@UncleTrick samsung , HTC and LG do a major changes in their devices each year in term of both hardware and design !SONY do change in term of design but over the last couple of years it is not that fast to change with phone hardware unlike apple it do update one or 2 aspect each year nothing more . u have to check ur info first ..

@JustArtificial other manufacturers release multiple models to cover all market segments ...not every one can afford 600$+ phone off contract ...and at the same time there are many OSs..and so fans for each covering them would insure more profit ...anyways the yearly release is int the point with apple ...all manufacturers do a yearly update to their flagships its that apple never do a major update ..its same device ..minor look change , hardware and software .. plus they dont use highend hardware ..so making a phone for cheap and selling it for premium price is kinda rip off ...and they cover it with good software optimization
