@kazeswen: Here let me try and explain everything wrong with what you're saying.

1) Are you for real ?

The first thing my comment said was " i'm not saying he's Tolkien or that he's better than him "then i said " it's unwise to compare them to each other. ". Then i concluded the comment with " It doesn't mean that either of those great books are bad, it just means that you don't know shit about writing. ".

The only time i attacked Tolkien's work was when i said it was meant for children. (and that's a fact, the Hobbits was a children's book and LOTR was a continuation to that and it was written in the same manner even if it wasn't meant for children). And that's hardly even me attacking his work, it just says that it's different than GRRM's Song of ice and fire. As i said " GRRM writing however is better than Tolkien's in my eyes "then i said that the reason behind my opinion was " i don't want to read a F**king children's book ! "

2) Why did i say that you are " spouting irrelevant shite." ?

Now first things first, what is the definition of irrelevant ?, Let us ask dictionary.com.

{adjective

1.not relevant; not applicable or pertinent.

Example: His lectures often stray to interesting but irrelevant subjects.

2.Law. (of evidence) having no probative value upon any issue in thecase.}

Clarifying furthermore : Your comment isn't irrelevant because of me disagreeing with your opinion (which is not even a valid one *refer back to the first point*). It's Irrelevant because it doesn't add to the subject as you're just repeating what you already said not replying to what i've said.

3) Are you a little shite ?

Yes, Probably.

@kazeswen: i'm not saying he's Tolkien or that he's better than him, his style is way different than Tolkien and it's unwise to compare them to each other.

GRRM writing however is better than Tolkien's in my eyes because simply i don't want to read a F**king children's book ! , What about LOTR you say ? Well LOTR is written in a very similar manner to the hobbits, which is a children book. I'm not saying that it's a bad book just because it's meant for children, It's a great fantasy and it certainly does have it's appeal the same way harry potter have its appeal to adults.

But why did i say that you clearly don't know shit about writing ?

Well my friend, the only criticizes that this episode get is for it being Way to similar to Tolkines work, at some points of this episode i thought i was watching LOTR.

Also all what you mentioned above can be said in a less angry sarcastic way for LOTR.

Resurrection ? Foking Gandalf mate !!. And at least when GRRM bring back a character he justify it by making the character come back different.

The dialogue doesn't feel very natural to your self ? DID YOU FOCKING SEE LOTR ? In lotr the characters don't talk, They proclaim.

Still. It doesn't mean that either of those great books are bad, it just means that you don't know shit about writing.

@slickwilly06: I just re-watched the episode and i can defiantly hear what was exactly said.

"**** this, come on!" Tormund says as he retrieve back, heading to the hill of the dead bodies.

Mean while Jon is at the hill swinging his sword left and right as the Umbers descend from the hill, Jon turns and notice Smalljon Umber near him, He raises his sword preparing to duel him but as each of them prepare to strike a number of wildlings infantry (led by Tormund obviously) run fanatically toward them pushing Jon off his balance and he fall to the ground.

A voice from the charging wildlings screams : "We're going home!", As they begin stomping the fallen Jon but only to be met with the Umbers who are blocking their escape from the hill of dead bodies side.

How can't anyone see the grave error Tormund made at this point of the battle !?

@AM-Gamer: Only when the knights of the vale came to rescue and it was clear that Ramsey already lost.

The thing is that n military there are nothing called shitty situations, Even if you're riding to your death you must do so, if you're told to hold you hold, but when you flee because it's hopeless for you, your brothers in arms will die.

If you watched this scene again you'll notice that right before he said "F**k this shit* they were actually still fighting, Jon was fending off the descending Umbers from the hill of the dead, The onion knight and Tormund and a few men were trying to break the line mean while, slowing them down from completely enclosing on them.

But when he decided to give up and run for the only side without shields and spears, everyone followed suit and they cramped together unable to move and completely vulnerable from the shields sides.

The only way Jon could move or slightly turn around was when he jumped above the stampeding wildlings ffs.

@kazeswen: You know that G.R.R. Martin writes at least one episode of each season, so if he was the one writing the script it would've been pretty much the same, the only reason he doesn't do the whole thing i reckon is that he's hopefully busy finishing up the book.

But if you were saying that G.R.R. Martin's writing is weak to begin with. then would you please guide me to the award winning writing you've been doing lately, since this is clearly beneath you.

@luciferous: Well she could've told Jon that she already sent a letter and that the knights of the vale might be on their way so he would have the option to fall back and wait for them or charge to winterfell, but i guess that wouldn't be dramatic enough.

Why is no one talking about Tormund's inadequacy in battle ?

The moment he said "**** this shit" really annoyed me, i don't know if i'm reading it wrong since no one else talked about it but he practically fled the battle, or tried to at least.

When his men saw him running to the only side of the fray without spears in it instead of trying to break the line, they all ran that way causing Jon to get stomped and everyone to just try to push the other in order to find a way to get the hell out.

I know they are mostly wildlings with no military disciplines and all but they were doing fine up until Tormund said "**** this shit".
