TO rugripper40, The 360 has only a VGA cable which comes with RCA Stereo out (red-white cables) or optical out. Check these to sites: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemsetup/xbox360/accessories/vgahdcable.htm or http://gear.ign.com/articles/703/703073p1.html

What I would like to know is how does the picture (game) look like when... A PS3 is hooked up with a HDMI to DVI cable to a PC monitor which is 4:3 and has a native resoluion of 1280*1024 (i.e. 19"LCD)? or A PS3 hooked up to a with a HDMI to DVI cable to a PC monitor which is 16:9 and has a native resolution of 1440*900 (i.e. 19"widescreen LCD)? I know for a fact that using the MS X360 VGA cable and hooking up the XBox360 to your PC monitor, either 4:3 or 16:9, the picture comes out crystal clear with no loss and no black bars on top or bottom. Meaning your picture is not streched up to cover the whole square 4:3.

Yes, with an HDMI to DVI cable. Your monitor has to have a DVI input. I'm pretty sure your PC monitor has to be widescreen too. I don't think the PS3 has any features in it's operating system where the user tells the console that it has been hooked to a PC monitor and decide which resolution to set it at. Kinda like the XBOX360 with the VGA cable (which is actually a really cool idea by MS). You would also need to use the optical audio port to get sound. Meaning hook it up to your amp. I personally don't know what I would do if I didn't have an amp for my home system. I'm curios to know though if I'm wrong...If anyone here has already a PS3 and tried to hook it up to a PC monitor using an HDMI to DVI cable? I'm also curios to know if the PS3 has any setups in it's Operating System so it knows you hooked it up to a PC monitor. What would the picture look like on a 4:3 LCD monitor? (my Samsung 930B 19"LCD for i.e.)? Would you have black bars on the top and bottem since the games are in widescreen? I know for a fact that if you wanna play Blu-Ray movies with you PS3 hooked to your PC monitor, your monitor has to be HDCP ready or else no picture will be displayed.

I actually borowed my cousin's Wii tonight and went to a friends house to try it out on his 43" Samsung Projection DLP HDTV. Here's my 2 cents.... Wii Sports...fun, for about 10 minutes just to see what's the hype with the new innovative controls. Graphics? What can I say...besides "lol" Zelda: Pretty nice game...controls felt funny for the 1st time. Too bad the graphics look exactly like the gamecube, even played on 480p with component cables. Anyhow, all this to say, I finally tried it out. I was extremely curios. Besides new controls, this system was kinda boring. We played (3 guys) all and all 15 to 20 minutes. It kinda got annoying after a while especially when you had to stand up to play bowling. I strongly believe the system is an updated version of the gamecube. The hype is way too exagerated. Nothing really "WOW" about the system. Fits exactly the price range it's sitting at right now.

I don't think motion sensing, especially for the Wii is a huge thing. It's actually a great idea and some games are really fun. But I just don't see how you would be able to play others...racing, sports, and many more. I personnaly would't play motion sensing games at midnight, after comming home from a long day of work...I don't see myself swiging a nunchuck around till 2am... You know, sometimes you just wanna plant your ass on your favorite couch and just use 6 fingers while your body is totally imobilized.

I believe I read that somewhere too. I also love the fact that you can install Linux (Yellow Dog 5.0) on your PS3. Good call on Heavenly Sword...looks really nice! adding to my wish list

I wouldn't be surprised if developers eventually drop titles on the Wii when they realise that they have to re-program the whole graphics engine just to make it run on a gamcube=wii which has a completely dated graphics card and CPU. Think about it...why should developers make a perfectly nice running game on the 360 and/or PS3 and then have to remake the same game with cheasy graphics, plus I'm sure cheasy A.I just for the Wii? It's pointless... Hello, we're almost 2007, the HD era has begun...720p or 1080p is the way to go!!! And as a matter a fact, the original Far Cry on PC which came out in 2004 does and always will look better than the new Far Cry on the Wii. I just can't play anymore 480i/p games. It hurts my eyes...Anostrophic Filtering is crap, you can't see far, AA is terrible etc etc... And someone please tell me how am I gonna play sports games, racing games on the Wii??? I.E. NHL08 or Madden 08? How about Need for Speed? My friend bought Red Steel for the Wii and he says it is the worst controls he's seen for a FP-shooter. It looks nice when you think about it, but when you actually play it...hmmm a world of difference!
