Good shorts, shady sliced up Ubisoft game. To think The Division was delayed twice and yet there's no trading and a major area featured in ads isn't in the game.

@punksterdaddy: I'm that one loser who reads the wiki. Everything I've said is basically a standard procedure over there.

This movie seems to be getting somewhat of a marketing push so you'd think it might be good.

@saturatedbutter: Apple PR and rabid fans happened. Steve Jobs is like a modern Walt Disney, the company behind him makes him look like this great, innovative guy full of cheer who helped in their field so much. In reality, Walt was a child beating white separatist who made children's cartoons. Same thing for Jobs, he was a total fucking asshole who used people and took credit for others work and only sent $100 a month in child support despite making billions. I have no idea if the film is any good or not but it's likely that Apple didn't like the depiction of Steve that the film presented.

@punksterdaddy: What are some things that have made the crossover? Only plot events and playable characters count as crossovers, things like location names and vehicles can be reused. Neither C.J. or O.G. Loc make a TV appearance in GTA IV. However, OG Loc is a character that exists in some way in the HD universe. In GTA IV both Niko and Luis own a safehouse with copies of his album Str8 From Tha Streetz. A copy is also present in Gay Tony's nightclub. In GTA V, both Franklin and Jimmy own OG Loc CDs, there's also a gold record with his name on it in Franklin's second safehouse. He also has a star on the Vinewood Walk of Fame (A plethora of easter egg references in itself). You are right that Rockstar can use the canon as they please, but outside of easter eggs and things like locations and cars they've never really crossed the universal line.

@punksterdaddy: I hate to shoot you down but that's impossible. GTA exists in three separate universes: 2D, 3D, and HD. All the GTA games from the PS1 era (Grand Theft Auto to Grand Theft Auto 2: London 1961) are in the 2D universe. The PS2 and PSP [minus Chinatown Wars, that's HD] games (Grand Theft Auto III to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories) comprise the 3D universe. The 'current' games from the PS3 and onwards (Grand Theft Auto IV to Grand Theft Auto V) make up the HD universe. So while Rockstar can hide references to previous games in easter eggs, C.J. and Franklin exist in different universes and the Los Santos in V is not the same Los Santos in San Andreas. This universe thing is canon as declared by Rockstar. So if there were a throwback DLC it'd be with Niko and Roman or Luis and Tony as NPCs. Actually, I wouldn't mind a DLC where you play as Johnny up to the point he's killed by Trevor.

@jaoman9, @Noisekraft, @walidras, @Spartan_418: Let's assume the DLC would be loaded separately from the main game and declare C the canon ending.

@SkytheWiz1: Well, I still feel cynical about the game as it's a AAA game being released in today's world. But it does come as a relief that Montreal is stepping away. Instead we get (basically) all the other studios that worked on Far Cry 3, the guys who made the Driver games, the Tom Clancy guys, and the Ubisoft multiplayer division. Reflections had a hand in Watch Dogs and Annecy was responsible for the shitty AC multiplayer (well, I didn't like it) but other than that this seems quite positive. Here's to hoping nobody fucks it up.
