@ello432: My inclination is that the Ryzen CPUs will be competent/comparable for gaming, but simply have a leg up for anything that uses more cores (video editing, rendering, etc.). There's more and more crossover between the two markets and it seems to be where AMD is aiming to fit itself in.
@Keitha313: Yeah, a lot of websites have covered it (GameSpot too a couple years back lol). But it's always nice to have a fresh view on graphics settings as games change (slightly) and we usher in new PC gamers. Plus I wanted to do some side-by-sides and try to incorporate as many as I can in one article.
@sellingthings: thanks, that was my hope with this gallery!
You're definitely right about having different settings for SP and MP, mainly to maintain the highest frame rate. It may be a typo, but I think you meant you definitely want Shadows on (pretty high too, so they animate accurately). I can't count how many times the enemy shadow gave away their position in CSGO!
@ratchet3: We hear you, and we're working on it for the (very) near future! In the meantime, you can check the ol' Reality Check series that did a few episodes a handful of these concepts from a couple years back: http://www.gamespot.com/videos/reality-check-pc-gfx-explained-antialiasing-vsync-/2300-6420415/
@titang1: I think motion blur can look dope in some cases, but my eyes are going to focus on what I want to focus on, so I don't really need a game to simulate that for me. Kinda the same for me when it comes to depth of field.
