@musalala Is not that bad as people make it sound. People are just hurt because they didn't liked the changes in a franchise no one has touched in years; but the truth is that DmC is a pretty good character action game (personally, I like it more than Rising)
@Mazoch I am not saying Ubisoft doesn't have the rights to fire him. I just think that, given their history, it should be handled with a little more respect.
Being pushed around by security guards is no way to treat the creative mind of the biggest IP you had in years...
@ethanm1834 @hermes200 @Mazoch True but, at the end of the day, they are all adults. Desilets can't "force" anyone to follow him, as much as Ubisoft can't force them to stay...
@Mazoch "he took several members" You make it sound like they were among his personal belongings (maybe that is why they didn't let him take them this time).
More likely, those members left Ubisoft because they agree with the reasons he left them.
@Gallowhand "The presence of permadeath is a step in the right direction." Only if they implement it properly. The advantage of turn based is that all moves are intentional on the player part... a real time 3rd person shooter would leave most of your squad being AI controlled.
@dixienarco Because they probably are, with Firaxis at the helm. I would read it the other way: that they added the XCOM name to this game because they are not confident it would deal well as a brand new IP.
