User score seems to be positive. It seems that the game didn't deserve that hate because of downgrade and Ubisoft's past.

@mjorh: You know what's funny? I predicted someone would ask me that question.
I find Syndicate to be criminally underrated, too many badscores. But, it satisfied certain fans. I also find Syndicate to be better than AC2 nowadays, or at least let's say better in a lot of things. What I liked about Syndicate that stealth with Evie feels meaningful, you can pick up bodies & hide them, throwing knives feels good, cool chameleon skill which is a invisibility cloak, but of course I still wouldn't call that true stealth. Skills system is better than Unity's, there are three skills locked for each of Evie & Jacob. There are also gang upgrades, still helpful. You can ride carriages. There's a fight club. Like in brotherhood, there are the rooks that can help you, sometimes they ride carriages. And like in Unity there's these street events. I like playing as two characters even though, most of the time I prefer playing as Evie. She is serious and caring, Jacob is funny and likes things to be direct. Story is nice but not as good as AC2's. Side-quests that open the red zones are rewarding, get repetitive though but side-quests with story aren't repetitive, I loved Charles Dickens missions. Main-missions are fun, specially Evie's. Crafting is cool like in ACB and even better not to mention capes are back baby, too bad there are few outfits only. Swords are gone, you can use either a dagger, cane sword (my personal favourite) or knuckles. Medicines are there, also life regenerates. Grapple hook is awesome as the hook blade or double H-blades. Combat is like Batman or Mordor's, has combo counter, challenging like Unity or AC1. London is beautiful and big. Collectibles are rewarding again. When you open some red zones in a district, you'll enter a gang war, after opening all zones, you'll enter another war, killing your target, sometimes they lock you on the target and you keep avoiding attacks in a cool way. Soundtracks are decent, didn't really like Unity's.
But after all this, I still prefer AC2, if it were due to nostalgia only, then I'd have probably put ACB or AC1 above Syndicate too, right?
Flying machine, Leonardo Da Vinci, Double H-Blades, Poison, Hidden gun, money, Quick-Wheel menu, Tombs, hiring factions, Glyphs and truth video, Ezio and most characters, Rodrigo Borgia and Templars, Story, Cities like Venezia or Firenze, Mario's Villa, fast travelling, more open with present day, Jesper Kyd's soundtracks, Altair black armor and armor upgrades, shops, swimming in that beautiful glowing water, sidequests, wonderful main quests, that heavenly feeling I felt the first or second time I played it, golden mask, the difference between it and AC1. Sorry, if you have to read all that.

@Solid_Answers12: Well, the smuggler caches had different rewards/loots, most of the time.

@Solid_Answers12: I'm glad that you appreciate the side quests in TW3 more, because some people actually call them a ''filler''. Not because they were too many then they're a filler, but yes, yes, to each his own thoughts. :P But, some people are obviously trolling/hating..I'd call Bethesda games the filler of sidequests, ones. Or sadly (for me), Ubisoft games.
