Thanks. It arrived today and I have been messing around with the different options. It did make quite a noticeable difference, so it was definitely worth it for the price:)

Thank you for the response. I think I will purchase the card as it is cheap and see how it goes.

I know what you mean about getting addicted to sound and wanting to try different combinations since I have already tried out several audiophile headphones before settling on the Grado SR60i.

Hi.

I am thinking of upgrading my onboard audio (MSI X58A-GD65) to a dedicated sound card namely the Asus Xonar DG since I have read numerous positive reviews (including Gamespot's Headphone FAQ) about it including how cheap it is for its performance. I will be primarily using it with headphones (Grado SR60i) since the card is designed to be used in this manner.

Nevertheless, I do not have any problems with my onboard audio in the sense that there are no static or any other crackles of any sort and the sound quality is satisfactory. Therefore I am just wondering whether upgrading to this sound card from my onboard audio will result in a noticeable improvement to the audio quality whilst playing games and watching movies. I also listen to songs on my PC but this is secondary to gaming and movies.

If you have any experience with this could you please advise me on this matter.

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi

I am thinking of getting a PS3, and was wondering how to connect it to my Dell 21.5" ST2220L Full HD LED Widescreen Monitor.

I have read and watched various guides, so I have a basic idea of what to do, but wanted to ask a few questions.

In the description for my monitor, it states that it has HDMI, DVI (HDCP) and VGA analog ports. Does this mean that only the DVI port is HDCP compatible because I know to connect it to the PS3, the monitor needs to be HDCP compatible? The reason I ask is because my desktop is connected to my monitor via DVI, thus I was wondering whether I can connect my PS3 to the monitor via a HDMI-HDMI cable for the video.

I know I will need to get an audio adapter to get the sound to work.

Thanks

Yeah, seems like a lot to think about, but I also have heard quite a lot of good things about the Razer Deathadder, and I like the palm-rest.

I think I will go with that.

Thanks for all the help :)

Thanks for the replies.

I will check out the Deathadder, the G9 and the RAT7. Also thanks for the mousepad choice.

But, does any of you know much about the logitech G500? I heard it was meant to be pretty good?
