I never played Eternal Sonata, but I was really disapointed with FF13. It just didn't live up to my past experiences with other FF games, a series in which has been one of my favorites for a long time. It was way to linear for most of the game (I know that has been said countless times, but IMO, it's so true). BUT, it is very pretty and does have some very memorable moments, so don't pass it up completely. I am looking forwards to FF13-2, if it is slightly better or less-linear than the first one, I'll definately pick it up.

Not sure how many exclusive games will make your break even point, or net worth in purchasing a PS3, but there are a ton of exclusive greats. Others mentioned above....but as you can tell (avatar) I'm a huge God of War fan, and if you haven't played the previous titles on the PS2 and PSP, there are 5 great games right there. Some others that may interest you are Little Big Planet, Heavy Rain, Valkyria Chronicles, ICO/Shadow of Colossus, Motorstorm and Gran Tursismo.
sweet highlights, can't wait to see how the launch lineup fares come Feb
Looks good, another game that might make me purchase a 3DS
My order, 8, 12, 10, 7, 9, 13, 3....only ones I've played
Really nice review
I might wait a little while longer to open up my Skyrim copy, but I'm super stoked. Fallout 3 was one of my favorite games ever, I had never played a Bethesda game before Fallout 3. I had no problems with the original package with Fallout 3, but all of the DLC was buggy as hell for me. I'm afraid Skyrim will also be like this, so hopefully a TRUE fix is coming. OR, hopefully my copy plays just like my Fallout 3 copy, no problems whatsoever.
Being a huge fan of the series (like a lot of others out there), this was a huge disapointment. LINEAR isn't how I would describe it, I'd classify it as an On Rails RPG. When I think of FF games, I think of open worlds and exploration, this game has none of that (except maybe some in Chapter 11). I hope X-2 or whatever the second one is called is completely different (it sounds like it is nothing like FF13).
I too played it last night, with 4 total people when I joined a group. We did well on the first level, but didn't do so well the next. It seemed like two of the players didn't know the basic Patapon commands and were useless. When I hosted a match, I could only get one other player and we beat the initial level, but I logged off after that.
I like the new look to the game, the art style is really cool and visually very stunning, and it even sounds slightly different than the first two games. I just hope the formula doesn't change too much and the multiplayer isn't crucial, but if it adds to the experience in a positive way, I'm really stoked about Patapon 3.
I'm really excited for Patapon 3
