@RandolphRam: Good, because even though IGN stands for Imagine Games Network, 3 out of the five of their featured articles are movie/TV related -_- . Just don't want the same to happen to Gamespot.
Just don't become IGN 2.0 and half the news is not even gaming. It's the reason I come to this site. Better yet, allow us to filter all the non-gaming news away for those who don't want it. If I wanted movies (I don't, I dislike movies in general) I'd go to the other hundreds of sites that cover movies.
@linusa: Yeah, I did, and I actually do these type of surveys in my free time from time to time. And once I started to do them, I stopped trusting them. They take a long time, and most people start to fill in random answers; and the way you qualify is you tell them if you play or not. They can, manipulate it to their will with the qualifier, as they may want a specific amount of men and women who play games.
@dnsfw_jamus: No, I'm not going to "get over it". These studies are skewed, plain and simple. They portray a reality that isn't; go to any gaming site, and the vast majority is men. Even in real life, the vast majority of women I know don't play games. They play stupid phone games, but this portrays they are the same ones playing AAA games. They aren't.
I'm sorry, once it included mobile I wrote it off.
My sister playing candy crush on her phone is not a gamer. My mom playing solitaire on her phone is not a gamer. These people aren't actual gamers; they play games, but it isn't there hobby. And they don't keep up with the news in the gaming world.
I'm a gamer. I spend money on dedicated devices just for gaming; I have a New 3DS XL, an Xbox One and I just bought a $1000 gaming laptop. I have dedication to my hobby; most of these people don't. Let me put it this way- are the same people who go to the movies and see the latest blockbuster in the same category as those who go and watch very movie from said blockbusters to the most obscure foreign indie film? Not at all.
So for those who actually own it, is it any good? I am contemplating whether to get another Xbox one controller or this. They are both about the same price, and I've read some reviews, and no one seems to give a straight answer on the thing.
