My mobo recently went dead so I had to order a new one and at the same time got a nice new dual core processor, however I didnt get the chance to format my hd before the modo died, will this be a problem??? I have a new 250 gig HD, would I have to reinstall XP on that and THEN format the HD with stuff on it, or can I just still use the main HD without trouble?

I just purchased a BFG GS 650W power supply from best buy the other day, I installed it and initial had problems sending any power to the graphics card ( XfX GTX 260). I fiddled around with the wiring for while and eventully the graphics card was powering fine. I decided to remove the card and dissconect it later that day in order to clean out the case of some further dust, upon plugging in the card and re connecting it to the power supply again im put exactly where i started. he card requires 2 x 6 pin pci connectors, the BFG comes with 1 6 pin and an 8 (6 + sep 2) so we are looking at: 6pin, 6pin + 2pin, plugging the 6pin parts worked fine earlier but now nwo matter how i configure plugging them in power is just not being sent to the gc at all (the fan wont even move on the graphics card). Please help

I just ordered 4 gigs of ram and a XFX GTX 260 GeForce (upgrade from an XFX GeForce 7800GT). Whenever I add the memory my pc straight doesnt turn on.... and thats about as far as Iv gotten to solving that problem. But the bigger problem is the graphics card. I changed my pcs settings to use the mobos graphic nforce 4 before I uninstalled all the nvidia drivers and took the old card out. After installing the new card I cant get anything to appear on the monitor (and the monitor has to plug into the graphics card ot access the mobo graphics chip (and the card when set up). How can I fix this problem iv wasted hours trying to mix this problem!!!!!

nvm safe mode doesnt work at all anymore.

If it helps is there a way to edit the WIndows system files on a macbook pro w/ bootcamp on it???

Iv never had problems before and if I just had a way to edit a system32 file in the windows directory from the mac itself I would be set.
