crysis made me realize big levels pretty much suck, this one crysis map is big as hell...but it's basically just copy and pasted crap.

Ninja-Hippo

I wouldn't blanket-generalize all games which have sandboxes. I greatly prefer Halo's sandbox combat to scripted, hella linear stuff like Call of Duty. It's more unpredictable and allows for repeated play throughs and different experiences.

halo's pretty linear, so is crysis...but this map on crysis named tank is so goddamn big i havent even walked over every piece of land in the canyon it's **** crazy LOL, but looking across landscape u can see it's just copy and pasted crap.

I'd give it a credit for technical achievement for such big open levels. But the art direction in Halo games is vomit inducing.

Orchid87

levels arent very big actually.

They're still bigger than what the most console shooters have.

big levels usually=boring and lacking detail

cant turn off aim assist? seems pretty unpolished to me atleast medal of honor on consoles u can turn off aim assist all the way.

and unstable framerate and outdated graphics?

I never said it wasn't, you can believe that it's unpolished even though it isn't really. You said it was the MOST unpolished shooter this gen, which it isn't.

well it's one of them, even the dude from invisible walls main host shane on gametrailers said halo reach levels look barren/empty i said that before he even said it.

framerate depends on what location and what u are doing and how many people on at that moment.

the framerate is different every playtime, but there's certain area's framerates usually get lower.

halo reach is the most unpolished shooter this generation.

You already tried. Do you have more videos with framerate issues that only you can see?

And seriously now, most unstable FPS this whole generation? This is getting completely ridiculous.

Teufelhuhn

only i can see? the framerate will drop out of no where for no reason and with a.i on screen like quake 4.

are you even a pc gamer?

http://i54.tinypic.com/rtqbux.jpg

see halo reach's tree shadows suck compared to black ops also, halo reach's tree shadows are like blob shadows almost LOL freaking lightmaps.

You're the only one seeing this drops, so yeah. Nobody else, including the people using tools to actually measure the framerate, has noticed them.

And the last thing I'm doing is getting into some inane argument with you about what shadows look better. If you think black ops looks good, then good for you. I don't care.

the crosshair is harder to aim because of the skipping/hitching game suffers from.
