@reaperezekial: You do realize that the Viera didn't originate in XII, right? But regardless, the lore of FFXII, FFXIV, and Tactics Advance (the game they were first seen) state that there ARE male Viera. They live separate from the women. How do you think the Viera mate when they don't want anything to do with Humes? lol
@illegal_peanut: "That's one thing that annoys me about some homosexuals and blacks. For people who care so much about representation."
...You do realize it's not easy to get a job creating any sort of media content? This is such a bad take. People don't just say "hey, I want to create a popular and influential show." And do it. It's much harder than that. To work up to that position takes a LOT. The industry also has its own biases in the work environment. This argument is as bad as the "Why don't you make a game and see if you can do better" argument. It's unrealistic and has nothing to do with anything.
Wouldn't call it queer-baiting. It's weird, whenever people see two people of the same gender bicker and have a love-hate relationship with each other, they interpret it as "oh, they're totally attracted to each other. I ship it!" You see it happen everywhere, and it doesn't make any sense. This is really on fans for creating ships and pretending like bonds and quirky dialogue between two human beings means they must be attracted to each other.
I get it. MCU movies don't have a history of queer character portrayals and media is already puts a stigma with that stuff. But every time you say "this is queer-baiting" to every heterosexual male bond, you're adding stigma to a different issue. If you want to fix stuff like "toxic masculinity", you have to stop saying "this is gay" when men share their feelings with other men or when media highlights their feelings. In my opinion, the directors trying to normalize male feelings in a heterosexual way is a more powerful and meaningful idea than just making the characters bisexual.
Ehh, the dislike feature on YouTube doesn't really do anything for the viewer. It's pretty much just venting.
Both liking and disliking content has the same effect as posting a positive comment or posting a negative comment, except it's even more low effort and usually done purely based on emotional response. It's just feedback, and there are more meaningful ways to show that you like or hate a video.
That being said, removing it actually hurts creators more than the community. It both helps the algorithm and helps creators weigh their best content. So this might be counter-productive.
The comparison in the tweet is a valid criticism. Though, the Mikasa one looks more like inspiration. The proportions and style are different, it clearly isn't traced.
And to the comment section below, whether he's selling it or not doesn't matter. It's extremely hard to punish people for selling work that was traced and then modified. The only thing he faces right now is social stigma for copy art, which is pretty bad as an artist since it ruins your reputation.
@Crazy_sahara: It's just now dying? People have been saying Final Fantasy has been dying for years now. Why is it dead now and not 5 years back? It's making SE a lot of money for something that has been dying for years now.
