@translucent17 Point taken but I still wouldn't really describe Demon Souls/Dark Souls as a franchise. And the Elder Scrolls games aren't regular releases. Certainly not on the same scale as the big franchises such as AC, CoD or Halo where fans get a new release and never ending circle of hype virtually every year. Using a better example... Red Dead Redemption (or are you going to pick out Red Dead Revolver!!)

@setuwa Err. Both U2 and U3 have mulitplayer. Horses for courses and all that but I'd call Uncharted far from old fashioned. They're the best looking games for this gen of consoles and the voice acting and lead characters are probably the most memorable too. God of War III is still a slab of utter awsomeness but it's a few years old now. I'm expecting even bigger and better for IV..

@EVIL346 Nah. PS3 owners will take the Uncharted and God of War franchises over Halo any day of the year! :-p

@jules2626 Not necassarily. Skyrim and Dark Souls both had very positive reviews and GOTY awards last year. Conversely, COD3 had very mediocre reviews and the new Resident Evil very poor.
