We have all these post stating that forza physics engine out performs Gt5:| (not out yet).  yet i am wondering how many people have actually raced a car at a circuit.  What type of racing did you do?  What kind of car?

I race in nasa and scca.  I race a 1988 Rx-7 and a 2006 S2000. been racing about 4 years.  I am in southwest region.  Now the hard part..... i have played forza and GT and can tell you that GT engine feels only a bit more real in the sense that it is harder to control a car.  Both are good games.  Also in 5 years i have never crashed, too careful and don't want license pulled.

anyone else?

um in nasa and solo2 racing when you hit a wall at 80mph you dont go, because your car is broken. so you really shouldn't use that as a example.

And while you might think damage is needed in a race in real life in the type of racing that the games try to sim, crashes aren't really that common. Drivers know lines and speeds and track conditions. Me being a noob have never crashed. So in all truth i really dont crash in games either. While both games seem kinds like arcade racers, the truth in my opinion seems that forza seems like all cars have bad struts because they all tend to lift.

whatever game you play, enjoy the race

reading all this it seems that all forza fans hold on to is the damage issue. I notice that while forza has about 350 cars.. i am sure GT5 will have a tad bit more. same goes for tracks. While playing Gt4 maybe there weren't crashes i did enjoy the pit manuever on the ring racing online. And I am sure that Gt5 will be stunning the way GT3 was for PS2( in my opinion the most visually stunning game i have ever seen)

I am enjoying forza 2 at the moment

while forza does have damage, you have to ask yourself how real does it reflect it. i for one would rather have no damge then damage that does not reflect real life physics and can and most likely determaine the outcome of a race.
