I just started a game of Madden 11 and about midway through the 1st qtr the screen went black and the then off the light flashed red and when you touch it it turns solid and when you go to turn it back on it sounds like its starting but then the yellow light comes on and then shut off any suggestions

with tax its 159 dollars my box to send it in for repair is supposed to arrive later today:cry:

wow alot of systems has been not reading disks mine started this past saturdayand if you go further into the forums you will read a bunch of the same thing I think it might have something to do with the last update

Thats exactly what happend to me this saturday I called sony and they want 159$ to fix it what game were you playing I was playing Fight night round 4 and my sytem was about a year and half old

yeh the disk does not even spin but everything else works fine I have the system setting out in the open I would show a pic but I have no way of taken one because I have no camera the vents are very clear and open to breath I have always been catious with any and all systems I have owned through the years

mine just died yesterday but mine was the 40 gig model people on here thought I was trolling so I know your pain and that 149 + tax is gonna suk too

I am not a troll I have both systems I like them both my PS3 just died last night and after reading some posts else where there seemed to be a connection of a year and a half do some research people

So lets get this straight it seems the life span of a PS3 is a year and a half and then you have to pay 150$ to get it fixed....this sure sounds like a programmed error to occur for sony to make up for lost money. how many others have lost there system around a year and a half when before getting the YLOD you never had a single problem with it.:twisted:

I have a modified 500gb HDD PS3 it was working fine but in the middle of a save it froze. Now the system works but it will not load disks at all games music or movies sadly My system is a lil over a year and a half old is there anything you would recommend :question: any help I I thank you
