Nintendo came on and basically said they are catering to Casual gamers kids and soccer moms and that we're sorry but the regular gamer can go "Bleep" themselves.

You seem just mad because there are arguments against your wishful thinking. :|

Zelda can be compared to Mario because both are just skins for Nintendo games. Ever wondered why Nintendo doesn't give a damn for chronology or consistency throughout both series? Bottom line you want complexity in areas it isn't needed for Zelda.

I'm not mad your logic just makes no sense you keep saying dribble like "Link never says or does something the player wouldn't or in a way he/she wouldn't. It's just a little thing so the "link" between gamer and game never breaks, keeping the immersion through the game" But I'm not allowed to take the role I want to in a conversation & It's perfectly fine that he doesn't look like you, but god forbid he not sound like you? Throwing in a voice for Link isn't going to ruin any experience, to me you just sound like a hypocrite.:roll:

If you're comparing Mario & Zelda why not compare Halo and Fable while you're at it?:P

There's an inherent contradiction here. It's perfectly fine that he doesn't look like you, but god forbid he not sound like you? Throwing in a voice for Link isn't going to ruin any experience. Just do it right. Let me take the role I want to in a conversation and that's all I want.

A fun fact: FFX had voice acting as well as the ability to choose Tidus' name. This results in the characters talking to you without referring to a name when speaking to you, or them just calling you "you". This was awkward. Nintendo would need to find a way around this.

Next you'll want Mario to have complex background, right? I'll try to put it in less words so you may understand:

Zelda isn't story driven, since its focus is the gameplay. As a consequence, the most character development you'll see is how Link goes from farmer to well equiped warrior. If Zelda was focused on story, then yes, character development would be a given, but it isn't. Zelda won't have more story than it's needed to set Link's goal and then jump right into the action.

I've made my point, and you got it. Saying I'm not making sense, when I am, instead of bringing arguments, is a feeble way to discuss. As I said to the other dude, I'm one of the most active pro-Zelda changes users on this board, and I've had some fierce discussions with people since Twilight Princess launched and I immediately bashed it non stop. So calling me narrow-minded won't work. Insulting my intellingence won't do it neither.

If Zelda isn't story driven than Giving him a voice can't hurt can it? Stop contradicting yourself and altho TP had problems it was 100x better than WW which was junk.

Mute cutscenes would be retarded thats somthing I'd expect to have on a PS 1 or N64.

They have that in both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. There's nothing wrong with it.

Zelda games aren't made for complex stories. They've always told their simple stories through text. So far, it's been just fine. If with the next Zelda Nintendo wanted to add a deeper story, then voice acting may be necessary to tell it.

Key word you said was so far. Text gets annoying after awhile and with next generation games a little silly

Think about it. The enitial cost of the PS3 is a little more but once you pay that thats it. You dont have to spend a ton of money on batteries for your controllers, PSN is free and the system doesnt break constantly so no repair costs. So overall you pay a smaller first fee for Xbox but it sucks your money away over time. PS3 doesnt do that. It's like the Xbox is a car note and the PS3 is already been payed off up front. Fanboy or not you cant deny this.wiidog

Yes but unfortunately for Sony most people don't look at it that way they just want it cheap up front and don't look into hidden costs.

gamecube had some great multiplayer experiences and had game of the year for like 3 consecutive years at one point...and the nintendo 64 is right up there with playstation in terms of great games...how old are you 10? go take a look at gamerankings top games and its riddled with nintendo 64 games

lol at me a nintendo fanboy...funny thing is i've been a fanboy of every gaming company at one point and have owned systems from all the major companies heck i even had the sega cd sadly ...i've just been gaming for a while

PS1 kicked the crap out of the N64 and is about 100x better system, PS 2 and xbox kicked the crap out of the GC to the point that Nintendo had to repackage the GC with a new controller in hope that it would sell.
