There are more weak individuals than well developed people. Sports games draw this weak individual to them. These people want to feel like they are a part of something bigger. It is sad really.
I think sports games will eventually die, but not before people realize how bad they are.
But most people that really enjoy sports games and think that "OMG sports is the best game genre ever!!!" are somewhat casual gamers that go out and enjoy sports in real life.:?
