@7tizz: I see Nintendo's consoles as more of a complimentary console to both the other consoles. I have never been without a Playstation and Nintendo console. I only buy first party games for Nintendo consoles and use Playstation for the rest. Sure, there are times when my Nintendo system will collect dust while waiting for the next exclusive to come around but I can't imagine not having one.
One 3rd party game I might pick up for the Switch, though, is WWE 2K18, simply because that's a game I would like to play on the go.
@G-Corleone: Well, the first thing that comes to mind as far as cross play is the ability to play with everyone, why would anyone want to be limited to playing just with people who have only that console when the gaming experience is the same across the board? Especially games like Rocket League or Minecraft, there are no advantages to limiting who you can play with, to the consumer or the console maker.
It also promotes segregation, which is a bad thing. Gamers are gamers and it sucks that people who have so much in common argue about who is better when it is all relative.
I just think we need a change, everything is becoming more connected and console makers need to join the fray and help each other succeed, that way everyone wins in the end.
I just don't get how Sony has no problem doing cross play with PC but has a problem with cross play with Nintendo and Microsoft. I am a playstation gamer through and through but this kinda pisses me off. Cross play should be an option for every multiplayer game, it's 2017 for god's sake.
The first SteamWorld Dig was amazing, I was pleasantly surprised when I started playing it and must have played through it 20 times. I hope this game is a lot longer than the original.
I'm a little confused, it's called Super Nintendo World but I am only seeing Mario themed everything. I was expecting all manner of Nintendo IP, this is just Super Mario World.
@plop6759: The 1.5% refers to the amount of time people spent with backward compatible games, not how many people use backward compatibility. The amount of time people spend with their Playstation VR for those who have them would have to be more than 1.5%, I personally spend about half my Playstation gaming time on VR and it would be more if there were better and longer games out for it.
