@sellingthings: it has been like that since 2011. Every new gen proc gives barely 10% extra processing power. But they also improve their power consumption economy and operating temperature. You need to understand these are the consumer class procs, which are meant for consumer class duties. If you want a supercomputer you need to get xeons, or deep blue class stuff which is expensive as hell.

@DesertEaglex24: i7 and i5 are basically the same, but i7 can do hyper-threading, which optimizes dramatically the processing power of the 4 cores. But, If i'm not mistaken, there is still no games out there which are programmed to take advantage of this technology. Only pro software for rendering graphical information or ultra complex mathematics use this feature. For gaming the optimal option is the i5 (:
