I agree, this game is what's currently in my DS and I'm loving it! :)

[QUOTE="calotono"]will this be a remake or a new game?Dwarfeater

Neither, a port.

The DS iteration will look and sound very much like the SNES game -- Akira Toriyama's artwork will make the jump, for example, as will Yasunori Mitsuda's musical score. It's also being tweaked here and there to suit the DS's feature-set, so there'll be full touchscreen functionality, dual screen presentation, and most intriguingly, a wireless play mode. Oh, and there's a brand new dungeon planned as well. Not exactly a straight port, then, but also not a dramatic remake.

I love Custom Robo Arena, I'm obsessed with it right now actually (though I'm not very far, I just started.) If they made another one, that'd be fantastic. :)

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Mario Kart DS

Advance Wars: Dual Strike

Elite Beat Agents

(I was going to round it out with Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, but thought I'd go with something a little different/more unique)

The story mode hasn't captured my attention too much, though it's not terrible. The 'strategy' parts folks are referring to were interesting at first, but don't hold up too well. The same could be said about the flying bits too, actually. Both concepts never really seem to reach their full potential it seems, and the game is more or less only something I play for a momentary break from more story and campaign intensive games like FFIV or Advance Wars. To be honest the most fun I've had with Starfox is the wifi dog fights.

The graphics are good enough, it's not like they're miserable to look at or spoil the other things DS does very well. I challenge you to watch the fmv for FFIV though and tell me those graphics aren't awesome! Really if I had to choose one thing about the DS that I wish could be improved upon, it'd be game size. 128mb seems a pretty strict limitation in some cases, unfortunately (though it certainly doesn't stop the DS from having absolutely fantastic games regardless.)

Squaresoft always seems to pull off some of the better graphics on each respective system, gotta love Square-Enix. :)

If you want a traditional role-playing experience, definitely go with FFIV. In fact I wouldn't even label Animal Crossing as an rpg, more of a Sims type game.

I bought FFIII off a friend whose daughter got it as a gift and she never even opened it. I got it for $10. :)
