I seriously doubt Sony will release a new console by the end of 2013. I think they're sticking with their ten year plan for the PS3 and I would suspect PS4 will come out around then in 2016. The earliest I can imagine they'd release PS4 is end of 2015, and the earliest they'd show the first prototype, in my opinion, would be at e3 2014.

I understand both point of views here, developer and Tom McShea's. Tom's is a hyper realistic view of what he'd like out of a military shooter. The developer's want something people will enjoy but at the same time want to try to convey what war is like for real. I personally think the developer has achieved that.

At the same time Tom's view could be easily satisfied with a simple name change to the soldier that the player controls, and less health that doesn't regenerate. It would be an interesting but all too real simulator that people wouldn't play and could potentially put a developer out of business. The reality is most player's don't want to feel inferior to anything in the virtual world they inhabit; they want a challenge but they don't want to get killed every five seconds.

Wow if people don't like the idea all the have to say is "It's a bad idea" not (and I'm quoting someone from this comment board) "I would rape her and kill her if I had the chance". There's a difference between criticism and personal attacks/harassment/death threats. As far as I know the latter can get you in jail. This is just plain extremism.

@IanNottinghamX The Xperia Play is basically an PSP3000-phone running on Android with crappy games. I actually find your example, somewhat true, but it has been nearly a year since the Xperia Play launched, it would be time for a new Xperia Play if they were to continue with it but they won't. The Vita has the capability of being what the Xperia Play could not achieve. A true portable console, but one that also acts as a phone. They wouldn't be cutting their own throats by introducing a product better than their old one.

I don't understand why Vita can't have phone capabilities as an option. I recently purchased a 10 inch tablet and got a shared 3G plan for my phone and the tablet, and the tablet has a phone number as well! If Vita had that option I would use that option, and I could see others using that option as well. I still plan on buying a Vita though, just waiting for a few months for some new games to come out.

@stormcrest There is no such thing as button mashing, its a click and wait attack. It is more strategy than anything, using the right combination against your enemy. There's also classes and stuff like that so tank, healer, DPS, so that will determine if you're ranged or melee, and how much damage you can give or take. It's nothing like Dragon Age, it's more like WoW and most of your typical MMOs in terms of combat mechanics. You get to create a loadout so to speak, and you upgrade attacks and learn new ones. It's not as fast paced as DA though, but it can be exciting

@TommyT456 This game can run on mediocre PCs, check the minimum requirements. A console port is highly doubtful, since using a controller for this game actually handicaps you entirely
