It is not really a commitment, its more of stating the life style you already have. After 2 years of not playing video games (assuming the country had none) its not hard to not play it unless you were a serious gamer before. I think parents should back off and let their kids play videogames if their interested in them. As long as its not destructive there is no reason why they shouldn't play. By destructive i mean, affecting grade and gaining a severe amount of weight (or losing if you don't eat anything cause your too busy playing videogames.)
