Hello Gamespot community, I'm proud to show you my game "Super Quadrate".

Super Quadrate is a randomly procedurally generated endless runner/jumper that allows the player to jump and shrink to avoid obstacles. The background lighting and parts of the background pulse to the music. I'm trying to keep a feeling of constant movement throughout the game, even the menus.

The music isn't final yet, I'm having a hard time finding music that I like (I want it to have the same type of forward momentum music as "Super Hexagon").

I'm nearing release on Android but I still have stuff to do, mainly beta testing. If anyone would like to help test out my game I'm running a beta testers community on google+ that will allow you to download it from the Play store. Instructions for downloading the game are posted in the community page.

I plan to add some more levels over time, as well as leaderboards.

Any feedback will be much appreciated. =]

I think, in terms of gameplay: Nanosuit

In terms of lore: MJOLNIR

And if the two characters using the armor in their games fought, then MJOLNIR. In the halo books, seems like a spartan without their suit could almost stand toe to toe with a regular soldier in a nanosuit, besides the invisibility and bullet proof.

The idea of having a PS3 in your pocket (which is pretty cool) can, and probably will result in quite a few ports from the PS3 library. They may be the exact same game (as in a multi-plat), or a different game revolving in the same IP as something on the PS3. This isn't bad though, we get good games on the go.

One of the main things I noticed that was being disputed was even if the games may be good, it's no different from the PS3, you get the same experience regardless. Where as the 3DS gives you a totally different experience from the Wii. This may have been true for the first PSP, but the NGP has everything the 3DS has (besides 3D) and then even more. The game Little Deviants shows a gameplay experience the PS3 can't have. In fact, it was gameplay that can not be done with the Wii, 3DS, or anything else for that matter. It looks to be a unique experience to only the NGP.

With that unique experience shown to be acheivable on the NGP, I believe your argument is proven wrong. The NGP can have a lot of the unique gameplay/interaction the 3DS can have because of the NGP's touch screen (which is multi touch, giving it's touch screen even more potential then the 3DS's). And on top of that it has the touch pad on the back allowing us to interact with it differently than not only the PS3 but the 3DS as well.

I think we're more then one generation away from photo realism. I saw some tech demos for lighting techniques which looks really impressive. I think they were called ray-tracing, and photon mapping... something along those lines. They made things seem extremely real looking, but couldn't be done in real time at a practical level yet. I'd say give it 3 more gens or so.

Doom 3 for the pc had a min requirment of 384mbs of ram. The xbox used 64mb to run it, which is 320mbs less the the they claim a pc with the least ram could run it on. Of course 1 gb as the min for running Crysis on a pc and having only a 512mbs of ram on the PS3 in total is a much bigger gap. But then again, you never know till you try.

I think crysis could run on either system. Watered down a little, but still looking great. When games are made for a pc the people making the game have to keep in mind that they are making the game for TONS of different pc settups. Different gpu, cpu, motherboard, ram, etc... So they disign it to run across many different configurations which cuts down on the efficiency of how well the game runs. On the ps3 and 360 though, they tailor the game to run on just that one setup. It allows them to make the most of what they have.

Take the ps2 for example, it ran the game Shadow of the Collossus perfectly fine. The ps2 had very little ram, yet that game have far draw distances and looked great overall. And as someone earlier pointed out, Doom 3 required 512mb of ram for the pc, but the xbox did it with only 64. Yes, it was watered down, but the overall feeling of the game was not lost. And yes, it only had to render dark hallways, but the computer needed to use 512mbs to render the same hallways non the less. Since the developers where making Doom 3 on the xbox for JUST it's single configuration, they were able to use only 64mb.
