I sometimes miss pc gaming as I mainly game with a console and handhelds, but I have a question. Are there really any games lately released on pc that fully utilize these amazing new cards coming out? For a 6 year old remaster it is certainly still worth investing in this game as it suites my tastes and I have the rare strategy guide for it. But I wouldn't spend the money on a new capable gaming pc just for this game. Any suggestions for good pc games for decent gaming computers or a high end rig? I like playing on a console with games that max out their potential and get an instant, hmm this is what this thing can do, feeling.
@powdered_sugar: You are thinking of Circle of the Moon that uses the card system and no it's not quite as good as Aria it does get closer than you might remember. Just finished that game actually. Huge castle and very challenging. Might be worth checking out again. Aria of sorrow is the best Metroidvania, but in my opinion, the best ever Castlevania has to go to the original Rondo Of Blood. Which you can get on the Wii/wii u Virtual Console and it's an almost bit perfect port.
That music sounds amazing so far. Seems to be really great promise. Hoping for some good enemy ideas, namely new ones. Other than that it looks like they are putting is some great ideas in it's presentation. What I hope they do above all is make it a must play for both the U and NX. Making the experience different enough to make me play it for each system for different reasons. Lots of possibilities and I'm looking forward to it.
This just needs to be said. Tom (and Carolyn) are very talented writers, but when it comes to video game reviews on here I think they take things a bit to personal. It's a bit heavy on the side of what they, as reviewers, thought of it only, rather than what everyone will make of the game. That needs to be accounted for just as much, in my humble opinion. I'm glad their gone. Good luck out there, though.
@loafofgame @milsvaard People love and like JRPG's for their transfixing storytelling. Some of the best stories in all of gaming ever... if you seen a list for that. You should see how many JRPGs show up in that list. Not only that but some of them have extremely well made fine-tuned battle systems with different ways to play them that makes them addicting. Their influence on gaming goes way beyond your view there.

What I don't understand is damn near every comment that I am seeing people are ranting and raving about something they don't like about this review or some previous comment. Do people use the internet to relieve stress that they cannot express to people in their own lives? Oh wait that's it. Nevermind. I "thunked" it out. Maybe next year can be more positive?
