Since when do we NEED to have the elite? I certainly don't, I can game just fine. Just because something slightly better is coming, doesn't mean you have to get it. Take a look at what you will actually gain from it, how much of an upgrade is it from what you have now? Do you really have any use for what the elite brings? Is it that important? With all that in mind, take a look at the price. Is it REALLY worth it?ag1002

Trust me don't spend your cash on PS3! If you want what PS3 offers then just trade in your old 360 for the new one. As stated above, your gaming experience is not going to be different so I wouldn't get to upset about it. THis is just an attempt for MS to combat some features that PS3 has, nothing that big really.

Sony is having so many problems of late, and you would think Microsoft would have taken advantage of that. The reason why the Xbox is doing so much better is mainly because of the price, so microsoft goes and makes it more expensive to own the best of the three models? The main thing I have been reading so far is people wanting to buy the cheaper PS3 now, so basically what they did was make people change their minds about buying a PS3....

I was really loving the fact that Sony was starting to fail. I have had nothing but problems with Sony products. I went through three PS2's and the last one I sent in to get fixed, got it back a month later still broken. Yes, I took care of ALL my systems, my first Xbox still works, and so does my NES, even though I have to blow on the cartriges.

What really makes me mad about this "elite" model is the fact that that people (including me) thought when we bought the premium we were buying the best. The people that have actually supported tMicrosoft since day one have to pay $180 to upgrade to a bigger hard drive and the people that are now thinking about getting a 360 get all these nice upgrades basically for only $80 more.

When you come out with a new system you should sell the best instead of having to upgrade and come out with a better version over a year later for more money. Microsoft needs to make some kind of deal for the fans they already have, or they are going to go down the same path Sony was going. So in the end, Microsoft is helping sell PS3's.

if you exchange your xbox then you will lose everything on the harddrive, besides 20 gigs is enough for me. I don't download any movies and the demos i usually only play once to see if the game is good. maybe eventually, but not for a while.rogue48
