Make sure that you have installed and updated the newest drivers for your video card. This will make a tremendous difference. There is a new released Nvidia driver on Jan 19th that has coding for Bad Company 2. My framerate literally doubled with the new driver. My specs are:

Screen res 1920x1200 with graphic settings on max. FPS is 60-70 with video cards on stock clocks.

I used to hate bunny hopping and got so mad that I started doing it too. Now I am quite good at bunny hopping. If bunny hopping is in the game design, then it is not an exploit or a cheat. If the developers considered it a cheat/exploit, then they would have not made the game that way or took that action away with a patch. As long as both players have equal abilites to perform an action then it is not a cheat. If I encounter bunny hoppers, I just use a shotgun. It is the best remedy.
