I might get it eventually, but am not nearly excited about it as I am the other releases scheduled for the year. I guess if this is the third one in the series though, it must have a good track record.
I am willing to bet that they would carry over. I can not imagine a reason that they would not considering that they are tied to the PSN account, not the devices themselves.
I played through most of the other ones, but am now worried that they are milking this franchise a bit too much. A game every year along with regular DLC (with annual passes) is just overkill. The same thing happened to the Guitar Hero franchise and everyone knows how that turned out in the end. On the other hand, if these games keep selling millions of copies, I can see why they would want to keep making them instead of putting resources into other projects.
I downloaded and played it last night. It looks incredible but I couldn't shake the feeling that I had done it before. I will be getting it just to see the story and experience the great boss fights. I think it will be a great addition but do not expect a new experience that I haven't gotten in the previous five God of War games I've played.
I probably won't get a whole lot out of the social features that they've talked about, but am still excited about the new consoles. I am sure that I will buy both of them eventually just like I did this generation. I am a simple guy though and do not think that I will benefit from many of the changes except for the improved graphics.
I'm becoming more like that to as time goes on. I really consider the amount of gameplay that I will get out of a game before deciding on purchases. While some might not like it, I know that I will be investing a lot of time into Gears, so the 20 dollar season pass is fine for me. Paying 20/30 dollars for the Tomb Raider season pass is a strech though because I really don't see myself playing it much longer than the single player campaign.
