@zmanbarzel: These individual lists are voluntary (and separate from our group voting). Mary and Lucy just didn't have time to get in their lists this year before we had to publish. They're busy making sure good stuff goes up on site!
@Savior4Life: That theme song, though! And I thought the adventures were fun. I've never passed rank 5, so I'm not as competitive as most people, but I love the single-player stuff.
@cboye18: I didn't do any grinding, but I did beat every trainer I met along the way and I almost never used Repel. But even without grinding, I felt a little over-leveled until the very end. (I also kept pretty much a core team from the beginning with a few swaps in the middle).
Like earlier games, you're starter is almost unstoppable -- though the Z-moves do throw some curve balls in. I had some low level Pokemon of a weaker type knock out some of my highest level creatures a few times.
@RSM-HQ: You'll have to tell me what you think you finish it! I really enjoyed it up until the part where it took the same detour that every modern Pokemon game seems to make -- go catch a legendary and fight the real bad guy. Platinum is probably my favorite for how it handled that transition.
In Sun and Moon, it feels like they're doing things differently...but then they just ran out of time near the end so it became the regular set of trainer battles. And the final "story" battle gets really weird.
@prnjsn: @BrunoBRS I played through the game on a New 3DS. Whenever there's full 2v2 match, I experienced noticeable (but momentary) lag when the camera panned around all the Pokemon. Every now and then, there'd be a stutter when a Pokemon would call for help and a second big creature would come in.
If you saw it in the demo, you'll see it in the final version.
@cboye18: I thought about mentioning the difficulty, but at least up to the Pokemon League, it's pretty easy. It's hard not to be a higher level than the trainers and enemies you fight. The Z-moves your opponents use (especially near the end) can lead to cheap one-hit kills against your party, but I still never had a full party wipe.
@Gelugon_baat: The more you guys watch, the more likely we are to do them! While our editors in the office have a wide range of interests, livestreams tend to focus on the games that our audience has shown they're most excited about. But the more people that watch content like this, the more likely we'll be able to do more similar videos in the future!
