I have had this issue with every single one of my games since I got my new GSO 9600 1GB. I can run Modern Warfare 2 at an average of 50 fps until I see smoke or fire. The frames drop to a lovely 5-10 fps. The same goes for Elder Scrolls Oblivion. I can run it at 60 until I get into a dungeon with fog or use a spell.

I am confused as I have pretty decent specs and all of my drivers are updated.

Processor: Intel Core i7 2.8Ghz (8CPUS)

GPU: GSO 9600 1GB

RAM: 4GBs

OP: Windows 7

Lol, I know my internet is horrible but that isn't the point. I have had Xbox Live for a entire year and this has never happened until now.

Oh, another thing. I also get signed out of my regular profile so I can't play any offline game without restarting it from the beginning.

Argh! So I have had a severe problem getting to play COD4 online alot lately. I sign in on Xbox Live and I head into a game. It then says "Disconnected from Xbox Live." I head to the 360 Guide and hit sign in. It says I don't have a valid 360 Account! I then go to the Dashboard. I can log in perfectly. Just can't in a game. So I have to recover my entire profile (if ya ever had to on my 60 kbps internet, you would know how much of a freaking pain it is) and I can play COD4 or Halo 3 for about a day or two, then the same thing happens! (Oh and my subscription cancels in a week so that isn't the problem.)

Hiyo, I am thinking about getting a upgrade from my old graphics card (6600GT) and I was wondering, which would be better? I have a 1gb motherboard (I think, sorry, don't know how to see what I have, pre-made pc :) ) and all I wanna do is get maybe Med-high graphics on like Crysis or Company of Heroes.

Hiyo! I got a Xbox Mic with the 360 and I tried using it in a GoW LAN party. It made next to no sound, just a small whisper, even if I shout it as loud as I could. I have the volume as high as it can be (10) and it still does that. Plus, while in Rainbow Six's Vegas, it works but it takes about 1-3 seconds to work, or it doesn't work at all. Is there a problem with how I am holding it on my head? Cause the way I am wearing it, its pretty painful. Also, I don't have Xbox Live if thats a problem.
