@PeterDuck I liked the fourth one as well. While it wasn't as good as III it still retained the great aspects of the previous titles while trying to innovate. I'd recommend Disciples 2 also. That was an awesome game too.

@thequickshooter I generally just pretend that all HoMM titles after the fourth don't exist. After NWC closed its doors, M&M games just aren't the same thing. I just hope M&M X returns this once great IP to its origins.

@Mojira7 IT is not one uniform whole. There are many segments and specializations. Knowing how to code doesn't mean you will be proficient in networking for example.

As a network engineer, I've constructed and maintained thousands of network topologies, but I'll be first to admit that I know almost next to nothing about coding. Hell, I'm merely mediocre at web design, and that is part of the OSI.

More draconian DRM crap like in Heroes of Might and Magic VI? Guess I know what I won't be buying in November.

@gplayer5 Maybe the game has already gone gold. I have no problem with free day one DLC. Steam automatically installs them, so I won't even notice it is DLC. I can't believe that I've just posted positive comment about DLC. Guess there is a first for everything.

And this is the reason why I stopped buying SC games after Double Agent. They are trying to turn it into contemporary Assassin's Creed. Why does everything have to be aimed towards spray and pray sort of games? There was a time when developers weren't afraid to challenge gamers. Not anymore. Today even reading the manual is frowned upon.

@asendedtrunks @shingui5 This is the crux of the matter. Origin is just overpriced. The very fact that I must buy a game for 59.99 € plus VAT comes to 70 € in my country (VAT 17%). Yet on Steam games don't go above 49.99 € with VAT included. What incentive would anyone in Europe have to choose Origin over Steam? None, whatsoever.

Personally, I prefer GOG the most, because they sell their games in dollars irrespective of your location. And their Euro to Dollar ratio isn't 1:1. But since they don't offer most new games, Steam is the best second choice for those games. Origin needs to handle their pricing much better if they want to stay competitive.

Let's not even talk about the exclusivity of EA games to Origin. They think that by making the game only available on their service will force people to use it? Wrong! Most people I know rather wouldn't play those games than buy them at those prices.

Latter. I meant that in a positive light. I don't mind dying, but having to replay the same section over and over, fight same enemies over and over, those things do become tedious after a while. I hope in that the sequel bonfires get placed much closer to the big boss fights.
