Its evolution will be limited by its technology hindrances. Its concept is flawed.KHAndAnime

The PC also wiped the floor in terms of FPS games, Adventure, multiplats, RPGs. I mean I could continue. Got to love that 3 consoles can not even take the PC down :P.

dc337

I don't see how the pc wiped the floor in terms of adventure games when it didn't get Red Dead Redemption or any major exclusives. What is the big pc exclusive fps this year? There isn't one. The pc is good for RTS and MMOS but for everything is it is overrated. It can't even be counted on to get the best sim games anymore as seen by Apache Air Assault which is PS3/360 only.

first of all...lol at Apache Air Assault being a sim.

second, did you completly miss ARMA 2: OA being released this year...you know, and actuall sim...and FPS for that matter.

I got to say, I just tried it for the first time after hearing its going free. Its pretty impressive deffinetly, everything looked and played pretty well, not as well as on a high end PC, but deffinetly pretty impressive considering that it can be played on anything.

I have pretty much no reason for it now, as I have a nice PC...but in the future its deffinetly something ill look into.

[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"][QUOTE="Fightingfan"]P2P> Dedicated servers. *In the long run, I can still play COD on the ps2! Try playing Demon's soul 7 years from now.ohthemanatee

Looks at Quake 2, multiplayer still going strong despite being 13 years old, and guess what? it uses dedicated servers.

Games like quake are in the minority I believe

No their not. Pretty much every PC FPS uses Dedicaded servers and there is maybe only a very small handfull that have ever been shut down.

[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]Its optional, and does not effect yoru gameplay what so ever.Pixel-Pirate

Unless you play TF2 and, you know, don't want to be destroyed by the scout with his purchased upgrades that make him far superior.

Really. I see this as making anyone who doesn't buy this stuff, a liability to their team. And if you play competitively? Not an option, you either buy it or stop playing competitively.

Also why do people say "It's optional"? Of course it's technically optional. I think it would be illegally for valve to forcibly charge every TF2 players account without consent.

you dont play TF2 do you?

Crysis, Crysis lulul. Can't neglect PC!

Haven't paid too much attention to the skyboxes, maybe I'll look more on my Legendary play through.

Grawse

Crysis doesnt use skyboxes. Everything you see in the sky is a real object, you can fly up and see for yourself with console commands or the editor.

havent played it on the Wii. But I will say this, if Zombie count is really the only major difference, then thats not enough to call it an exclusive. If that was the case, L4D 1/2 would be exclusive as well.

sonicmj1

It's ported from RE4 Wii Edition's engine, so it controls very differently. There's no jump button, and a much heavier emphasis on guns.

In line with this, guns don't break in the game. Enemies drop gun ammo.

There's a cash system, shops, and things you can purchase.

Missions can only be done one at a time. I think they must be done in a linear order.

Waist-high barriers prevent full exploration.

There are a number of new types of zombie enemies in the Wii version, like zombie poodles.

Frank can't take pictures in the Wii version.

The Wii version has multiple save slots.

I'm not sure if the 72 hour time clock exists in the Wii version.

These are pretty big changes to how the game plays.

If the Wii version is entirely linear, then thats a pretty big difference. Though its not really fair to compare it to GRAW where the 2 versions litterally shared nothing in common except for the story.

[QUOTE="bobcheeseball"]Lol it's really not a very big dealdRuGGeRnaUt
no honestly it isnt. but when it happens on consoles, hermits go nuts. I think thats what the TC is trying to show here. Valve is one of the companies hermits always use as an example. Now unfortunately, they can't. I find it funny. And I also could care less

except Valve isnt charging for anything that cant be attained during regular gameplay...nor are they charging for maps or updates.
