[QUOTE="goingunder2"]any1? grr bump! bump! bump it up!Eddie5vs1

Yes, ALL the guitar hero controllers work on the other GH games. Also, GH guitars DO work with Rock Band 1 & 2. The difference is that RB guitars were not supported by the GH games until the most recent one, World Tour.

edit~Sorry, I forgot I was on the PS3 specific board. But yes, I'm pretty sure all GH games work on the other GH games. I've also read somewhere that GH WT would also allow GH controllers to be used.

Incorrect. Rock Band 1 instruments will only work with Rock Band 1. Guitar Hero 3 and GH:Aerosmith will work for Guitar Hero games. HERE'S THE TRICKY PART. If you're talking PlayStation 3, only the latest Rock Band 2 and the GH: World Tour will recognize one and another's data. Simply put, you can use your ROck Band 2 controller for GH:WT. You can use your GH:WT controller for Rock Band 2. Otherwise, it's al game-specific.

1. SONY has a TEN year plan planned out so support will begin to diminish by 2017 or around there......

2. The online is great, only no cross game chat.

3. It is a multimedia system, NOT just a game console so if you like Video Games, Photos, Free Online, Videos, Social Applications; this is the system for you.

Exardious
No cross game chat? Whats that? I can't chat with my friends on my friends list, if they dont play they same game as i am?

Why would you want to do that anyway? "Hey guys, I'm playing a game!" "Shut up! So are we!" Cross-game chatting is the stupidest idea imaginable. You've a system that allows you to send and receive messages at your leisure, what more do you need?

Any game except for Mirror's Edge really. It's hard to go wrong with the PS3 as far as exclusitivity goes. You definitely need to pick up Metal Gear Solid 4, that's a given, as well as LittleBIGPlanet. You can skip Fallout 3. Uncharted is another must-play.. Read up on some games and find ones you like.

you're an idiot. any of the super smash brothers games.

Really, I beg to differ, after all I am entitled to my opinion

i'm really curious to hear as to what your favorite fighting game is, since you've procliamed one of the best to be, infact, on of the worst in your very own opinion. the tekken series is strong with the weakest of them all being tekken 4. anyone who also thinks the SSB is an actual fighting games needs to familiarize themselves with the King of Fighters series, Tekken, or any other popular tournament fighters. MArvel versus Capcom 2 is probably my next runner for worst fighting game. Any game where you can run your fingers across a six button board and perform an insane combo is a real great game.

Stop dying. Stop losing. Learn to play @ OP. I used to such at CoD4 and with a bit of practice, you, too, can top charts. It's not hard. Idiots play CoD4 and dominate, just gotta find your niche.

Resistance 2 gets my vote. Fallout 3 was quite mediocre and dragged on and on and on. I finished the game in its entirity and didn't feel satisfied. At all. The story is lackluster and the action is quite stale after a few handfuls of fights. Once you find the Chinese Assaut Rifle, you're set til the end of the game. The economy is nonexistent. The UI is horrible, you'll enjoy digging through the Pipboy, it adds to the tedium that everyone seems to enjoy. Fallout 3 is an OK game, I'd say worth a rental at best.

Resistance 2 has some of the most esaily accessible and most addictive online gameplay. The 8-player Co-op is a blast and when you're up for it, the 30 vs. 30 skirmishes are ALWAYS exciting. Resistance 2, although easily accessible, has a steep learning curve. People who have played longer online not only frag you given their higher experience and player time, but their levels also grant them power-ups that you're not accessible to, which proves to be quite annoying when starting.

Just my two cents. I'd never pay full price for a game that didn't offer a bit of multiplayer.

[QUOTE="haris1189"]go with cod4, even a year later, it is AMazing, everyone should experience cod4 atleast once in their lifetimeK1LLR3175
The game ain't nothing special. It looks great....thats about it.Singleplayer is Dull and the multiplayer is good, but nowhere near as good as COD3,COD2 or Resistance in my opinion. If you can find COD4 for about 30 bucks then sure, but for 60 get Resistance 2.

Wow... You obviously played a different version of Call of Duty 3 than I did. Call of Duty 4 is a stellar game no doubt, but I'm going to have to give it to Resistance 2. As aforementioned, the 60-player competitve and 8 player co-op campaigns will have you begging for more. Not only that, but there wil be patches for R2, where Infinity Ward has given up on CoD4 to invest their time in future projects -- not blaming them for it, I'd do it too, but there are so many blaring glitches in CoD4 that hinder if not ruin gameplay. R2 is chucked-full of content and the playerbase seems a bit more mature than CoD4's. I'd say rent both and see which you like better. There is more support for R2.

The P'S. 3 can hurt my t'v.? How is that? The box didn't read "refurbished" on it. It just is. Sony's crap. Speaking of firmware...I did update earlier, but I don't like it. Now, when I press the P'S. button midgame, it opens up the WHOLE console's options. I don't like this at all. I like the other version where it shows only 4 options. Quit game. Controller Options. Turn off the system. And some other option below that. Is there a way I can choose to have it display only those 4 options when I press the P'S. button midgame? If so, that would be amazing beans.Rain_of_Miami

Hold the PlayStation button down for one second. Also, return your system and get something more your speed like a Wii or a 360. I cannot believe how complicated you make the PS3 seem.

Also, it's not Sony who sold you the refurbished unit. Perhaps you should become the stronger consumer and research the establishment in which you invest nearly half of a grand. Sony isn't Microsoft, they do not repackage faulty hardware and send it to retailers for them to sell.
