I was dumb enough to buy an Xbox One on day one.... big mistake. It just died yesterday as well as the kinect sensor... GARBAGE! Fortunately my Playstation 4 is still going strong. No more wasted money on Xbox Live for me.... save yourself the hassle, get a Playstation!

@andrew_ribbons: So instead of playing $120 for a $60 game you payed $100. You don't even realize that you didn't turn anything against anyone, you still payed $40 more for a game that should have only cost $60. Bungie intentionally withheld content that was initially intended to be included at launch. Instead, they held it back and forced customers to pay more.... and they did. Even you did, thinking you were getting some kind of deal...

I saw what they were doing and I opted out... Think about it for a minute. Developers said that they couldn't make larger games, etc.. because of the limitation on the format (dvd opposed to bluray in last gen) and limitation on the hardware. Well now we have systems which are far more capable, and both consoles use bluray format now. Yet the games we're getting are not 4 times the size of previous games etc.... What we're getting is games that are the same size, with the same amount of content, with information packed on to the disc that we're forced to eventually pay for as "expansions". It's nothing more than nickel and diming the customers. That just the simple truth.

I'd also like to point this out... This isn't really VR, if anything it's Augmented Reality. It might be virtual reality if you're trying to reproduce the quadriplegic experience, but that's not the intention. Until the day comes when you can interact in a simulated environment utilizing all of your senses, it's not truly virtual. Not that I'm against it, I'm just stating the truth. Personally I'd love to see true virtual reality, the implications and capabilities would be just amazing. Madden, to be able to actually put yourself into the game as the quarterback, Forza, or Gran Tourismo, to actually be behind the wheel, Battlefield, to actually be IN the battle, Red Dead Redemption, to actually be in the wild west... so many possibilities... it's just endless....

@Jd234: I'm running a PC with 64 gigs of tram and two GeForce GTX TITAN cards in it, with over 8tb HD space, and a SSD to boot. I also realize that what I'm running is about 4 times that of what the average gamer is using. We can throw out specs all day, but at the end of the day, the typical PC user doesn't have access to the cloud as the PS4, or Xbone users do, and they're diligently working on ways to expand on the base capabilities of those consoles by augmenting Cloud usage to amplify their performance. In other words the base specs of the systems aren't the true barometer of their performance. While those of the typical gaming PC are. And while you might not agree with me, I still believe I'm right. There's a reason why games come out with basic requirements, and recommended requirements. Most people who game on PCs do NOT meet the recommended requirements, but instead fall somewhere in between basic, and the recommended. I know this first hand as the first decade of my PC gaming life I was running one of those systems as were every single one of my friends. As I said though we can debate this all day, I just don't honestly see the point.

@kadin_kai: I'll wait until someone who isn't an employee at one of the companies has tested all three and then gives acurate and honest reviews. To my knowledge that hasn't happened yet. It seems it's employees or companies just firing off salvos at one another.... And these game review websites are no different. Look at IGN, they get advertising money in bulk from any producer pumping out a AAA or AAAA game. Show me one of them which dished out big bucks in advertising, who ended up getting a review below an 8. It has never happened. Look at Call of dooty, each year it's the same drivel, no innovation, yet every year it's at the least a 9.5... while a game like battlefield which does innovate and improve, for example frostbite and destructible enviroments, which it's been doing for a decade now... never rates higher than cOd. Another example would be game informer magazine... It's owned by Gamestop, so is it ever going to give a bad review, or preview to a game which is expected to sell? Or a game which puts out big bucks in advertising? no.

So let me make sure I get this straight..... A competitor of playstation VR says that their VR headset is better?.... And this is news for what reason? Would it be newsworthy if someone at Ford said "Chevy isn't as good" regardless of what the reason or logic is? Let's be real for a minute here. PC specs might be higher, but the vast majority of PC owners have systems that match, or are actually lower than PS4 specs are. That's just the truth. Even a lot of gamer's systems are just on par with the PS4's specs. Sure, there are lots who have better systems, and even fewer who have very high end systems. I myself fall into the later category. The thing is, I'm not going to be spending $600 on a first gen VR headset. I think that price point is absolutely ridiculous. I don't care if I put over ten times that into the system I built, I'm not blowing my money on a peripheral that for one thing isn't even proven yet, for another thing might not get full support from developers, And for those of you who are more than ready to jump onto this bandwagon, let me share a little story for you. There was once a company named Atari, and Atari decided one year that they were going to buy the rights of an intellectual property called E.T. They then proceeded to make a game which was projected to sell millions, which it did, however they banked on selling some absurd amount. They didn't, and the result was millions of unsold copies because they over estimated the market. This is exactly why the console manufacturers always end up running short on consoles when they are first released.

But I digress... This article just cracked me up.. What did they expect the guy to say? PS VR is just as good as ours? Seriously.

@gadgeroo: I never said a single thing about being the only person with internet access, or wanting only decent people to have it. Wake up, what the hell is wrong with you?

My point is essence is that no one would act like this in person. If you were sitting there in a chair when a 9 year old opened a present from "Santa" and he was so excited, he actually got a playstation 4, what he's been dreaming of and hoping for.... Then opens it and finds that piece of wood.... If you were actually there, would you laugh at him, seeing his disappointment and sadness? No, I highly doubt it, I also highly doubt that these scumbags who think it's funny would be laughing either.... All I know is if my kid had this happen, and some scumbag started laughing and mocking him, well, he get shut up mighty damn fast.

Who knows, maybe it is because I'm a big guy, and I generally intimidate most people, and that's why they something like this just seems so disgusting to me. I just don't get how people can say such insane bullshit. It's as though the other guy had a valid point. That these shut ins, who are hateful, resentful, anti social, rejects feel as though they can be cute saying any ridiculous, cruel, or outright repugnant thing that comes to mind. It's almost as though they get their ass beat for saying shit like this, and now that their safe behind a computer monitor they're safe to say the ignorant things that got their asses kicked for saying before. Personally I think it's petty, crude, and just an outright indication of stupidity. The real issue behind Schottenfreude is that seeing others suffer makes one who has a pitiful existence feel a little bit better about themselves, by seeing someone else suffer as they are, or worse than they are. That's just the simple psychological analysis of it, which is simply saying those who take pleasure from the suffering of others, have a pitiful, and meaningless life. Why else would you take pleasure, and glee from someone else's misfortune? There is not other reason aside from maybe being extremely socially dysfunctional, or some kind of deviant.

Especially when it involves a child on Christmas.

I read some of the comments on here by people, and it's just outright disgusting. I swear to god the apathy, and just outright ignorant hateful attitudes of people never ceases to amaze me. Personally I had a woman who was my babysitter tell me there was no Santa, because she was pissed at something I did. She was a bile, detestable woman, and it's something I never forgot, she did it on my birthday, which is 3 days before Christmas. Of course it was 30 years ago, and she's long dead, She's actually the only person I really took pleasure in hearing of her death. This kid is 9, not 19... he's 9. If you weren't lucky enough to have parents who let you believe in Santa, or the Easter Bunny, well that's BAD parenting. Part of being a child is having that innocence, it's about living in a world where Santa can exist at the north pole. No 9 year old should be forced to accept the world as we adults see it. When you're a child you get to be a child, you shouldn't have to "grow up". We live in the 21st century, not the 19th. Children don't have to stop going to school after 3rd grade, and work in the mines, or whatever. They get to be children, because our grandparents, and great grandparents didn't. What really sickens me is these people who really seem to exhibit schottenfreude. It's outright despicable. Seems to me these are the same kind of people who delight in running over cats and dogs they see on the road. Not once thinking that could be some little boy, or some little girl's pet that managed to get out. It's the same kind of situation. I'd love to know what the hell happened to them, in order for them to get such enjoyment out of a poor child's misery. It's almost like that kid did something horrible to them to deserve the glee and pleasure they derive.... Just one of the reasons society is in such remarkable decay. There was a time in this country when something like this happening would outrage EVERYONE, you'd of never seen people taking enjoyment out of something like this. It's just twisted and sad.

I wonder how many of these pitiful people would be so over joyed if it happened to them when they were 9, or to their own children. I doubt it would be so enjoyable then. Then again, as I said schottenfreude, and when so many people enjoy it.... There's a serious problem... I just can't understand how so many can derive pleasure from someone else's suffering, and misery. It's disconcerting to say the least.

The hell with kicking his ass, the police need to get involved. As this child IS a minor, the person who did it could be prosecuted for child molestation... or one would think at least. Showing pornographic images to a child is in essence what happened. The person involved should be arrested, sentenced, and have to register as a sex offender. This shouldn't be tolerated. It's bad enough that there are an overwhelming amount of scumbags out there trying desperately to ruin Christmas, with billboards, and saying "you can't say Merry Christmas" and all that other horse shit... now this... it's just beyond sane anymore. Happy holidays.... WHAT HOLIDAY IS IT? It's CHRISTMAS! WTF!!
