I just rented it [battlefield], and in all honesty- its a %100 piece of garbage. There's no surround effects whatsoever (as in, all the speakers are pre-set. If there is a guy talking, it plays out of the front and center speakers. If you turn around so that he's behind you, it still plays out of the same speakers)... not to mention, being a 360-port and all - All you get is Dolby Digital.

Graphics are also pretty bad in my opinion. Everything looks good, sure.... but the repeated textures kinda kill the "good-looking" part of the game. If you look in the distance there is practically nothing normally.

Then theres the game-play which basically plays exactly the same as any other game out there. I also didn't really like the online. (though, i only played online for about 10 minutes before quitting).

Graphics- 6/10

Audio- 4/10

Gameplay- 5/10

Metal gear on the other hand has AMAZING audio (though, only 5.1. Thats forgiven by the PCM track though). The surround effects are amazing. The controller has an extremely set and controlled amount of vibration. The graphics are the best i've ever seen, and its probably the most fun game i've ever played. I, like you, also havent played the other MGS games. I played a bit of MGS Snake Eater, but didnt really like it much. I'll pick up Subsistance one day...

Graphics- 10/10

Audio- 9/10

Gameplay- 10/10

Oh, and im at 40 hours in Metal Gear Online. :D Great game... Definately pick up MGS4. Hope that helped...

False. It actually can improve them by upscaling.1uP_OnYou
Never said it wouldnt... I was just saying that if he "does" upscale, to make shure he's on 1080/720p instead of 1080/720i.

That video that was posted was only for an extremely small amount of PS2 games. Not only that, but it was fixed with firmware 1.50. Its an incredibly old video...

As for Yakuza - Are you on an 80 gig PS3? That could easily be the reason since the 80GB model emulates PS2/1 games. Check http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/CompatibleStatus and see if the game is supported with the 80GB version before you buy/play the game. (assuming you have the 80GB. There is still slight possibilities of it not working with the 60GB version as well - but ive never even heard of a game not working on the 60GB.)

80GB-

Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions

Publisher: ActivisionProduct No: SLUS-20431Description: Throughout the title, when a menu screen appears, the graphics jitter and/or flicker.

Yakuza

Publisher: KoeiProduct No: SLUS-21348Description: The following conditions have been confirmed on PS3 System Software Version 2.20: At a specific point during gameplay, the title hangs. All conditions have been resolved on PS3 System Software Version 2.30.

60GB-

Yakuza

Publisher: KoeiProduct No: SLUS-21348Description: No major problems for this title.

Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions

Publisher: ActivisionProduct No: SLUS-20431Description: No major problems for this title.

Also: If you dont think that this is the problem, It could simply just be your video settings. Check and see if RGB Full-Range is set to full, and make sure Super-White is on. This will make Movies, Games, and the XMB look alot better than before. Any multiplatform game will also look much better on the PS3 then on the 360 with these settings on.

By the way, If you're upscaling the game and have a 1080i TV, it can make it look un-natural. Any game looks un-natural on a 1080/720 interlaced TV. Always pick 1080p/720p. Never go interlaced... (if the resolution ends in an "i"). Im assuming you have an HDTV. The PS2 "smoothing" effect could also mess with your picture. (All these settings are changed from the XMB, Not your TV...)

Play with the settings. See what makes it look best. ;) Hope that helps...

You probably screwed somthing up during the firmware update... The slightest error on your part during a firmware update can kill everything.

If by chance your BD Laser has stopped functioning, just send it to sony. Theres nothing anyone can due about drive malfunctions... they happen all the time.

Ge PSP video 9, convert the DBZ episode with it, then stick the converted video in to the "VIDEO" folder on your psp. If its not there then either format your memory stick by sticking it in the psp and under settings click "format memory stick", Or just create a new folder called "VIDEO" in the root of your memory stick. Also, I must warn you that putting a Dragon Ball Z episode onto your psp may cause it to get bricked. Simply because of how bad that show is... :D Haha. Im such a bastard.

Anyway, Yeah. Its actually incredibly easy to do... Definately get PSP Video 9. ..........and definately get VLC player instead of REAL player. :)

Why would you want random people that you dont have any clue whi they are in your friends list?

I mean, i understand adding people that you meet on Call of Duty 4, Warhawk, or any other online game - but you have no idea who any of these people are.

As far as you know, Every single one of them are 7 year old girls that just got the game yesterday.

Ugg. Ill never understand it. Both this, and the whole "add people that are good" to your clan.

Whatever floats your boat I guess... :/

haha.

Its a heatsink in the processor. A hardware failure that some idiot over at microsoft diddnt realise due to him doing his math wrong.

Basically, you can now cook eggs freely on your console after taking it apart. Maybe even boil some water in less then 3 seconds? (Literally...)

Im just saying... dont leave the thing on if you have the red lights of death. It could cause some serious fire hazards. Also, if your 360 DOESNT have the red light of death, DONT LEAVE IT ON EITHER.

You'll just get the Rrod, and then scream at random objects repeatidly.

Its happened to me twice...
