@Gelugon_baat This is fairly pedantic, so I'll go about my business.

@VezTheNoob acceptance is a basic human need in order to be happy. That's like saying not to worry about having a warm house; it wouldn't kill you but you'd be sorely less off for it.

@Gelugon_baat You seem unreasonably concerned about my intentions. Believe me, I know how to navigate; I do not WWebsite as on the internet.

@THE_DRUGGIE ah, I see. I didn't quite understand your first post tbh. Games can viewed as art; the do meet all the credentials. But, as I said before art is subjective. What one person considers brilliant will be an insipid waste of time to another person. In terms of the article, to me it seems like they shoehorned this into the game. The question to ask is, does it add anything to the experience?

@Gelugon_baat I'm saying I go to a restraurant to eat, I go to a school to learn, I go to a church to pray, and I go to gamespot to read about gaming news. The overlap between sociology and gaming culture doesn't make it ok to have less gaming news and more social commentary.

@THE_DRUGGIE the thing about art is that art is subjective. It's supposed to be an ambiguous symbol, and each individual has a choice to fill in the blanks. Saying 'hey transgenders, buy this because there's a x-man in it' isn't really art; it's making sales on a society that wants desperately to believe there is a social injustice that needs to be corrected. Gamespot posting things like this is just trying to be hipsters in a gamer's world.

@Gelugon_baat my thoughts are clear. This is a gaming commentator's site, not a social commentator's site. I'm tired of pages like 'how games help relationships', 'homosexuality in games' and lets not forget the overly offensive 'pc gamer entitlement'. You can make the argument that I don't pay for this, but I don't pay for the fluoride in my water either; doesn't mean I want it. .

@Gelugon_baat then what's the point of this comment section; to look nice? I thought the whole reason sites have comment sections is so people can post their thoughts.

@Gelugon_baat just elaborating that my apprehension for gamespot's content has been compounded lately.

for the love of god gamespot; you're a gaming review site. Stop trying to be edgy and progressive already. I'll go to forums if I want to talk social politics; keep yours in your pocket (right next to your check from EA).
