It's a subjective review, for this he has his right to rate it as he wants.
But RE 3 is better than 6 compared to:

3. Modern horror games
4. Modern games at all
So how is this game a 6? Are we compare it to games or the reviewer nostalgic memories? The attention to detail is amazing, it is a remake, it should be rated as such. The dialogue and the sound alone makes it a masterpiece compare to the original. So his review is flawled and far from being objective. Just because Nemesis is not chasing you in few extra street sections, you rate it as mediocre experience. And the way he talks about these encounters is pure nostalgia. First off all - most Nemesis encounters in the original were a quick time events, secondly he was chasing you mostly in the early parts of the game.
The show is as good as could have been - its far from perfect but its a lot better than 4/10. The source material and the whole Witcher world are difficult to make into series. They are perfect for books where the reader could fill the gaps with his imagination and games were you are directly involved with the action.
A lot of times the world lacked dept and I had 90's vibes with shows like Hercules that didnt had big budgets and rellied on repeative formula.
The positive is that with the second season they could only become better and improve in a lot areas. More fights, more worthy opponents and lot more dept
Just because you think that you are a "realsist and teller of hard truths" doesnt mean that you are right. Its his project, his game and he is in no way owe you something. If you dont like him, you can just stop following the game. This is what a confident person would do.
@jedijax: Give the man a chance. The game looks really promising. People constanly bitch how all games are the same, how trailers reveal way too much and now we have something opposite and people still complain. MGS 5 was a great game till the Africa part when things started to went downhill and was visible that at that time Kojima and Konami knew what would happen.
Kojima never had 100% of the say and now we would witness his true potential. Konami by the way have done nothing on the big stage since he left
Wait, what?! You are the hero that later finds out that he is the villain, how is that Episode 4? That was my favorite game growing up and in the past I would be amazed hearing those news but given the crap that Disney has created in the past 10 years I am very, very doubtfull.
@michaeldark: Season 6 was without a book and it was great. For some reason, HBO forced the show to end quicker. Season 7 and 8 are perfect example for a closure of a canceled show. I dont know if some of the actors decided that they want to do something else or HBO just decided to focus on the other projects in the universe but this is terrible. Why make 60-80 minutes episodes which are mostly fillers with no content? Jon, Tyrion act completely out of character. Varis has done nothing for two seasons, Little Finger died in the most stupid, unlogical way. These two were the most cunning characters in the GoT universe and they did them no favors. Arya is the only one who feels somehow right.
@tellurye: Not really. He is making a valid point, people are addicted for complaining. We have the need to find flaws and make demands so that we can boost our image. Most people are not even aware that they are doing this! These days its really hard to enjoy the "small" things and life itself because even if you are aware of this sickness, we live in a noisy society that drawns you towards its habbits even if we dont want to.
