OK thanx. but i wanted one that is over 400w so that if i decide to add a more powerful card in the future it won't be a problem. or another Hard drive or something.
I need help upgrading my current PSU at 250 to a bigger one to run my Graphics card i bought.
i'm thinking about buyint this hec HP585D RETAIL 585W ATX12V Power Supply from new egg at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp, but i don't know if i can trust this brand. it's seems kinda sketchy to me.
i want to install a geforce 9600 GSO but my PSU is only 250 watts. The GSO require 400 watts. a friend of mine has a PSU that is only 375 to install on my comp. will this work, or do i need all 450 watts.
The thing is the tech guy at best buy told me i run a risk of frying my computer if i used a more powerful gaming card if i dont buy a wattage step up thing, because i don't have a gaming computer. i have a regular computer. compaq SR5505f. it sucks but this is what i'm stuck with. this card can run crysis, but unfortunately at the lowest settings possible.
