I compared both the official component cable from sony (ps2 version) and the HDMI connection, from QED Qunex range.

My tv doesn't support 1080p from component cables, but does with HDMI. On comparing the two, i found a little ghosting with the component cables, whereas the image was crystal clear with HDMI.

My advice is, if you're going to get HDMI cables, get decent ones. I recommend the QED Qunex HDMI-P cable. (even though it is purple:P) as i gives amazing picture quality.

Watching Casino Royale on Blu-ray is a whole other experience, especially the uncompressed sound, that only HDMI can deliver.
