@viking_mana: Just saw your comment as I was posting mine. How many people actually have a $600 card? It's really stupid. Go for the mid range people, who can handle better quality than the base game, so they get a better experience, and still get a good portion of your fans actually able to make use of it. This is really stupid.

Why would you release a texture pack, that is a love letter to fans, that requires a $600+ card? What percentage of players actually have that?!

@darthrevenx: I was thinking the same thing! I hope it is like that. It was soo good.

I'm not necessarily disappointed or upset by not being able to play as a female character (female Link) because I just assumed it wouldn't be a possibility. LoZ has been such a traditional game (in that it follows its own traditions and conventions) that I never expected it to be a possibility. It's a break from formula and that's not something Zelda is known for... That being said, this game is a break from the formula in almost every way, from what we've seen so far so it seems like an ideal place to change things up... Their reasoning doesn't really make sense, unless Link is going to have a voice actor. There is no real reason why giving Link an alternate character model and changing some pronouns in the dialogue shouldn't be possible. I think that combined with how well everyone is reacting to playing the game so far, giving the player the option of playing as a female link would have just given it that much more hype and excitement.

As for Zelda not being a playable character: I know so many people named their character "Zelda" the first time the played a LoZ game since they assumed Zelda was the protagonist. I think it would have been hilarious to make her the protagonist this time and have the "oh shit" moment once you realized you just named Zelda "Link" instead! Also, what would Link do if Zelda did all the fighting? Uhhh, whatever Zelda will be doing in the game... Just switch out their character models and the story can still work, right? Prince Link, can be the avatar or embodiment of Wisdom in the triforce.

When I first saw the Norse setting and Kratos still there, I assumed that he moved on from the "Greek Pantheon" and now he is the god of war in the Norse Pantheon? Like, how he took over from Ares in Greece, maybe now he is taking the place of Tyr or Odin? He's moving with the times.

Too bad I already own all of those games since they are prequels to this one... Would have been nice to be given the Season Pass for free. Not sure I want to give them more money for the extra content that I should have already been able to play...
