Well I think that if you want a system that is more than a console game right out of the box you should choose PSP. But I remember you that you could easily get these things with gadgets like r4 that are not very expensive and the DS has the advantage of the stylus witch can be very useful for reading files etc.

In the games department in my opinion the DS (considering also the GBA games for retro stuff) takes clear advantage because it has games for every taste and the games that are based in the stylus the PSP just can't offer. A new game experience for sure!!

The only advantages as far as gaming is concerned for the PSP is the possibility to connect the console to the TV and the existence of the control stick (but I heard that it is poorly designed and makes your hands suffer, besides some people just don't like control sticks).

Go for the DS!! You will not regret it:)

The out of the box stuff and btw there is already wii connectivity with the ds

And if it was possible make the screens bigger but still keep it to a similar size to the Ds Lite

I've heard about it (the wii connectivity) but I don't know in what it consists...

In the pole I'm referring to the (almost impossible) connection with the TV like the PSP or the GP2x have, but using the Wii like in the GBA-Gamecube connection!

I also want to state that I love my DS the way it is, but I think some improvements would be most welcome!

Besides the collection of games (together with GBA games) makes it the best console in terms of game choice there is! (In my opinion..., but of course there's always room for some more:D)

I like the DS the way it is. Maybe some bigger screens and slightly better graphics, but I don't want many changes. Only time can tell what will happen. Not 398,394 topics on it. IMO there should be a sticky just for a topic like this. Not that people would pay attention to it. But then these threads would be locked and I might see some more worthwhile threads around here.

and I just gotta point out that I DID answer the question that this thread was meant to ask. I just voiced my opinion.

Thank you for your vote and for your opinion! The main reason for this pole is to satisfy my curiosity and eventually of others.

But I have to say that many people were happy with the original DS (and many others wanted better) and then they released the DS Lite. Many people are happy with their PSP slim, but Sony came up with the 3000 or whatever...

Some of this stuff could even be released separately like the Opera Browser (I'm referring to the "out of the box" stuff), or an attach on the GBA with a control stick (like the guitar on the Guitar Hero), or maybe some processor in form of a GBA cartridge like the SVP for Virtua Racing from Genesis...

The creatives (and others) of Nintendo might look everywhere and forums of such a big site like this could be one of the places to look for. Marketing really begins with making studies with the main (or possible clients) but of course as you pointed out the objective is $$$...

What improvements would you like to see in the DS?

For me are all the above:) but that's not very reasonable so I would be happy with the control stick for all the games that would bennefit with it like Mario 64, a beat'em up or an in-your-face...

I think they have some (few) specific video games plus all the free Linux games or the commercial ones...
