I've played DAoC and UO, and EQ, SWG, EQ2, WOW, EVE, LOTRO, AOC, and a lot more MMO's that nobody cares that I've played, but NOT GW1.

And I'm loving the crap out of GW2.

1. Valve is not going to fail anytime in the forseeable future. It just isn't going to happen.

2. Even if they did fail, you would see it coming a MILE away.

3. You can make backups of the Steam software and game data at anytime. Start burning disc backups now if you're that paranoid.

4. If they did plan on closing Steam servers, they would alert every account holder in the world well beforehand and implement their 'last resort' distribution systems. This probably means just downloading and burning every game in your library to a disc. It is also likely that they have a means to remove the Steam software integration from all of their games.

5. This is a non-issue.

Nexus: TJI was a flipping BRILLIANT game and I would definitely be interested in a Nexus 2.

OK so I was a HUGE fan of AvP2. I played the multiplayer relentlessly.

AvP2010 was just unplayable to me. Hated everything about it, especially the control mechanics.

I'll give Colonial Marines a shot just because I love xenomorphs with a passion, but it better be good or I will be seriously disappointed.

First of all WoW does not have 11 million subs. Its more like 6 million.

Secondly, WoW isn't going anywhere.

EQ1 at its peak had about 500k subs, and its still alive and kicking.

I'd give WoW at least another 10 to 15 years. Plenty of time to get extremely bored of it.

Its to prevent hacking for the gold farming system that will be integrated in the game. And to prevent pirating. Stop whining.

Darth_Revan_666

Ironically, the pirated versions will be the ones that don't require an always-on connection.

Then the game companies will be the ones whining when people don't buy their games.

This is JUST MY OPINION.

Dragon Age: Origins is an RPG masterpiece.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 are solid as narrative games with shooter and RPG elements mixxed in.

The Witcher 1 is immersive and atmospheric, but limited and cumbersome.

The Witcher 2 is challenging and complex, but a bit short and unsatisfying.

Dragon Age 2 is an RPG-lite action game that I found disappointing.

Conclusion: If you haven't played DA:O, do yourself a favor and pick it up. Otherwise amuse yourself with Mass Effect until something better comes out. If you played Witcher1 and are a fan, you should probably already have played Witcher2. If you haven't played either of those, I would just skip them. Regardless of anything, just ignore DA2.
