well it downloaded in about 10 minutes and i finished a few minutes back...it was SWEET!!!...but WTF??! quite possibly the shortest demo of my life and its almost 1GB!! so many moves to do with stunning graphics...im hyping 9.0 but the demo was way to short...its almost under 10 minutes i think =[...what are your opinons on the demo?blazinpuertoroc

It was actually hard the first time i played, but it got easier as i learned the controls. Graphics are gorgeous and game is just awesome. The demo was really short. I hype this game a 9.1(or whatever the new rating system entails).

First of all it's WAY to short but whatever. I do think it's decent but.

Let be honest if you look much closer at the graphics the textures are bad it's just more weak PS3 texture work. But it get over looked easily because it has a very good art style to the game. But if you look and pay attention the textures are not great.

Mr_Fugly

Only a moron would actually sit and stare at the texture work of such an awesome title.

No i'm just saying the art style ROCKS for sure but if you want to be totaly honest you can stop and look and clearly see the typical weaker texture work the PS3 seems to suffer from.

I'm not going to do that because I'm to bsuy PLAYING the game, lol.

[QUOTE="edub30"]Yeah, but why waste more money making a 40g HD when you can buy an 80g HD cheaper from a different producer? It wouldn't be a wise financial move for Sony to do that.Mandingo101
maybe they can make them cheaper? sony is a hardware company, i think they know what they are doing, they already have the manufacturing costs of ps3 down to where they arent losing money anymore.

lol trust me, the harddrive is the least of Sony's financial problems when manufacturing the PS3.

I've been playing video games for over 25 years, and consider myself to be a tad bit above average, at worst. I do not have much online experience (NWN and NWN2 for several years) but I was shocked at how much of a loser I was once I started playing Rainbow6 online. I've had a few good moments (5 kills in one survival game) but mostly I $uck serious buttocks. I get killed on afrequent basis, and can't seem to hit players 10 feet away with a machine gun. My own teamates often ridicule me (well deserved though) Is it simply crappy equipment choice? tactics? sheer stupidity?

I'm seriously beginning to doubt my video game manliness here. Can one of you vets give me a few hints on what works???

Thanks in advance

InFurnace

There's several thing to take into consideration when playing online with Rainbow Six: Vegas

Bullet Lag

Weapon Choice

And tactics

Bullet Lag is just gamer's word for high latency, in which you fire your weapon, but the bullet collides with something not shortly after, once I've experienced a 10 second bullet lag. To cooperate with this you have to have really good judgement, contemplating when your bullets will hit and where. If you have even low latency, I recommend you shoot about an 3 inches(realisticly) before the target's course of movement, because it always takes atleast half a second to collide, if you have a higher latency than the average, just work with it, but always remember to shoot before the target's course of movement, it works for me.

Weapon choice is essential, you cannot just choose one wepaon for the map, you must be flexible and always know what weapon to choose depending on how the enemy team set up, if they're long range campers, I recommend a snipe rifle, but if they're constantly getting close to you, take out a sub-machine gun(Extremely accurate, but suffers from weak firing power at long ranges), they have very fast fire rate and no matter what, it's a 1 hit kill when you hit the enemy in the head...shot gun would be a good choice, but it suffers from its limitied semi-automatic firing mode. If they a mixed set-up, some sniping, some getting close, choose an assault rifle with either an ACOG or 6x Scope, they very good fire power and range, you can easily use it to snipe, but you need to adapt to its accuracy.

Tactics are the most important tools to online gaming with Rainbow Six:Vegas, especially in a team. Always use cover when you have a chance, and use crouch when you think an enemy could detect your presence on the radar. You need to use your gadgets and grenades. Smoke grenades are useful if you're up against a sniper, thermal goggles suffer from short range operating efficieny.Flashbangs are useful for roomswith groups of enemies, you can really pick them off if you know how to use flashbangs properly( they only work when the enemy(somes you) is facing the direction of the explosion and depending on the distance blinds them(longest I've been blinded is 4 seconds). Frag/Incendiary grenades are self explanatory, just throw them near a group of enemies and kill them, but remember that Inendiaries have a short effect range and a shorter "fuse" than the frag grenades. Radar jammer works wonders if you like to go rambo and pick them off while running, operating time is about 10 seconds and what it does is it disables the enemies radar so that you can run and fire without them detecting you on the radar, you spawn with 10 of them. GPS device stinks, I woudn't recommend it unless you're in survival, but even then, they work poorly and get you killed sometimes. Motion sensors, just set them where you camp and they will alert you when someone passes through them, several other ways of using them. C4 is extremely effective with the cover system, just set them up anyways where you can take cover facing the C4 and watch enemies pass right through them while you detonate them. Breaching charges, also useless at times, but effective in servers without grenades or C4.

That's all I know, hope it helps, long read, I know.
