@David_27: I do! I hate all of this ‘always online to play’ nonsense. For example, FIFA’s new Volta mode apparently requires an internet connection, despite it being a mostly single player affair. I don’t want my game to bomb out every time the Internet goes down. The more offline game modes, the better.
As a side point, as much as I want to see the new Elite Dangerous released, I think David Braben has as cheek complaining about losing revenue from second-hand games when he has just had his latest project funded by the PUBLIC on Kickstarter....
If new games weren't so expensive, second-hand games wouldn't be so popular. Basically, greedy executives, publishers and developers have created the market in the first place. In the light of continued economic problems, any attempt to curb the second-hand game market and try to force users to purchase expensive new titles will likely lead to many people turning their backs on overpriced console systems and games, as well as an increase in others ironically resorting to piracy.
I, for one, won't be buying the new PS4 if such technology is adopted. Epic FAIL, Sony...
I'm glad there has been fan demand for a return to the original sound of the first Mass Effect. ME2 was a largely forgettable soundtrack. Whereas, from the original soundtrack, I totally agree that tracks such as 'The Normandy' , 'The Presidium', 'Uncharted Worlds', 'Uplink', 'Victory', 'From The Wreckage' and 'The Mass Effect Theme' are standouts. In my opinion, the music to the original Mass Effect is one of the best game soundtracks out there... (and, for me, second only to the music from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim).
Mass Effect & the Elder Scrolls games have produced some of the best soundtracks, very evocative. Good example: the music from the latest trailer for Skyrim makes my heart leap out of my chest!
