Thanks for all of your responses, but the most amazing thing just happened, i turned on my ds and just to try the mic out i played a minigame on new super mario bros and to my great surprise it worked! I guess i can get zelda now.
I was looking at Phantom Hourglass and was thinking of getting it, but it says that you need the microphone, and the microphone on my DS is broken. So do you need the microphone to beat the game?

OMG HALO ON DS!!! THATS SO AWESOME AND TRUE!!!!!! I ALSO HEARD THEIR PORTING WARHAWK, GEARS OF WAR, HEAVENLY SWORD, LAIR, AND MSG4 ON DS!!!!! THIS IS ALL 100% TRUE!!!!! (this is steered at those who think halo DS is gonna be true soon enough.... well i dont see why these other titles wudnt be then lol)
Halo would suck on ds. DS graphics are not made for first person shooters. I hate to say it but the only way halo could go to a handheld would be if it went to psp and we know microsoft wouold never send anything like that sonys way
