Some do, some don't. Neither Crimson Skies nor Halo: Combat Evolve do.

More games need to adapt Euphoria that LucasArts is using for the new Indiana Jones game. There are no ragdoll physics and no canned animations. Each time something gets hit, it reacts in a different way and naturally.

Because Sony was pimping the fact the Playstation line would eventually become an all-in-one entertainment center for the living room. Microsoft didn't want anybody taking over the living room but them, so they entered the console war.

[QUOTE="project343"]Most developers know that analog is inferior to a mouse, as far as precision goes, thus they adjust their game to make it work. Bungie did this with Halo, and FASA's doing this with Shadowrun. Unfortunately, Epic is ignoring the fact that controllers have analog with Unreal Tournament 3, and that's why the latest PS3 gameplay video looks terrible. Unreal Tournament cannot be played with a controller. I suggest for Epic to do what Bungie has done with Halo: throw on auto-aim, then slow down the movement, the jumping, and the sensitivity. PC FPSs aren't necessairly better then console FPSs, they're simply 2 different genres.jwcyclone15

FPS' s are best played on PC = FACT

Fact =/= opinion FACT!

What POSSIBLE reason could one want to play a FPS on consoels rather than PC?

Well, at some point in my gaming life that began oh around 15-20 years ago, I decided I liked playing games for fun and relaxation. Hunched over a desk staring at a screen that's three or four feet away from my face is not my idea of fun. To the contrary, sitting in my recliner or on my couch with my feet up on the coffee table, a wireless controller in my hand, a drink to the left or right of me playing Halo 2 on my 52 in HDTV and digital surround sound is much better.

Isn't it great the PC CAN be hooked up to that exact same setup and use wireless controllers with adrink in your hand as well? ON TO THE NEXT MISCONCEPTION. HI HO SILVEr!

You simply asked why I think console FPS are better and the controller is better. The only similarities you have made are PCs can be hooked up to a HDTV and have surround sound. You say you can use a wireless controller on a PC a swell. But doesn't that completely nullify your entire argument?

You can still use a wireless mouse and keyboard instead of a controller.... He is just saying there is almost no reason to prefer Console FPS over PC FPS....

Did you guys miss that day in school where they explained the difference between fact an opinion? Judging by the intelligence level of the posts on this board, I would say almost everybody here missed a hell of a lot more than that. IN HIS OPINION, he does not see a reason to play console FPS over PC FPS. That's fine for him. Where he's mistaken is trying to pass his opinion off as fact, which it is not. I like my console FPS better because I can relax and I can play them without getting a second mortage and whoring my fiancee out to random guys on the street.

[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"]To the above: My arguement? I merely asked why you prefer console gaming. Why do you? Because of something the PC can do as well? So how does that allow you to state you prefer console gaming if the PC can do it as well? My arguement is NOT PC gaming is better, thats opinion. My arguement is that the PC can do and BE everything a console can, and that anyone who says "I prefer console gaming" usually have an underlying misconception. The PC can be used in the exact same setup, so please, use another misconception.

There's no misconception here. You tout your PC's superiority and that's fine and dandy. Great job. You can play it on a HDTV with surround sound. But the ONLY advantage that the PC has, to me, is the control set up. And that's not even that big of an advantage either. There's no way you can play the way I play on a PC with keyboard and mouse. Sure, you can use wireless keyboards and wireless mice. But you still have to be hunched over something to play them. You can't use a keyboard and mouse leaned back relaxing. If you want to make yourself look like a fool, go ahead. But there's one final thing. I spent $400 for my Xbox 360. That'll last me for a good five-six years. How much have you spent on your PC that'll have to be upgraded again in a couple more years?

Great game. Gamespot underrated another game, as usual. Online multiplayer is where it is at.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 aren't "next-gen" anymore, they're current-gen. And yes, they are better than their predecessors. With more power, they can have larger environments, better physics, better A.I., etc.
