@if_master_1: i dont think they were woke at all, I think it was just the director wanting to give his wife work and a big paycheck. Like How adam sandler always makes movie to give his childhood friends work and big paychecks.
This is one of those movies where at the moment i saw it, it was pretty enjoyable but the more I think about it or discuss it wiht others whther in perosn or online the more i dislike it I haven't had this experience since Force Awakens lol

the sequel character that needed his own movie was Finn. John Boyega still stand corrected about everything he said on his time working with Kathleen Kennedy.
I enjoyed it. its good to see video game movies are starting to get bakc on track and actually stick closer tot he source material.
However I don't think it needed the real world rock and pop music cues and also it felt like the movie was on fastfoward to try and throw as much as they could. i understand the movie is for kids and this new gen of kids have the lowest attention spans ever but man this movie never settled on and scenes it never let scenes flesh out.
John Leguizamo is acting the way right wingers see all people advocating for social justice and create dramatic parody of them. except he ACTUALLY is acting that way lolIts like he is mocking himself.he is upset because he didn't hear a laitn actor voicing a a character in a movie featuring 3 white human character and weird creatures who you wouldnt even be able to tell what race is what?
HOWEVER that being said I would've preferred ANYONE else over Seth Rogan as DK, so maybe they should've caste a Latin actor as DK instead lol
