@anynamewilldo12 @Sevenizz You will lose the games if Sony does not maintain the rights to share the games on their instant games service. The point of the article is that they are picked up by Sony like Netflix gets movies if they don't pay the royalties to the developers the games are gone and not yours since they never were.
@anynamewilldo12 I was trying to separate the intangible aspects of the argument from concrete data. What one person calls goo another calls crap. Halo 3 and Crackdown are hardly Kingdom of Kieflings. So both services have good games I admit that. Sony on the other hand is not giving you the games they are renting the games themselves for their service and cannot give them to you.
@tom2750 @adub424 @monson21502 Wow 100 million people who had to join Play Station Network Kind of like a pay wall just to use online apps.(Not to mention those that joined got their credit card and identity info stolen) The "better" games you are getting are subject so rights as defined by the developers and can be pulled by the developers and Sony cannot stop them. If Xbox hadn't had you pay to use Netflix the service never would have seen the Playstation Xbox Live innovates all the time. Xbox Live also often gets you exclusive DLC and the opportunity to play before Playstation.
@HowlPendragon Nice research! Now go research how many people agree with that assessment because the way I see it Xbox Live has 46 million subscribers and PS+ won't release how many people are paying for their service. All Sony will say is that they have recorded 13 million hours of gameplay on their instant games service. that is only 13 million people playing for one hour.
@anynamewilldo12 @adub424 Don't hold your breath that the support for those games is permanent that is how they get the games they do because it is not forever. The developers still have the right to stop it when the contracts run out. So even if Sony wanted to be nice they may not have the ability to.
@Sevenizz PC gaming is kind of a pain in the ass. Too many Hackers too many hoops to jump through just to get a game to work sometimes. We have moved beyond the mouse and keyboard in almost all genres.
@crunchb3rry They don't give you the game on PS+ just the right to play them as long as they are on the service and you keep your subscription up. The reason Games with Live are not as hot and new is because they are giving them to you. That is what the article is about.
@anynamewilldo12 @Sevenizz They can't just unlock them they are not sold as a retail unit only the right to play them was sold not the game. That is the point of the article.
