So, EA wants to grab most of the profit (after those 90 days) created through games that were funded, not by investors and producers, but by the people. Sounds almost like the government that. "If it moves, tax it!"
I think many want to be back to the time where developers were independent and creative on their own, without having someone watching over their shoulders. Telling them what they think their investments should go to. Games used to be about creating a game they wanted to play themselfs, now it's mostly about getting a market shares, profits and shareholders. But the trend is finally back, and I think easier availability has made the indie market much more attractive to most new developers. Steam, Xbox Live, all these online, easy to use, distributers makes it profitable again to be independent! Viva la independencia!
